This is a place with a "million dollar view" if you sit out front, as one of the newspaper blurbs posted inside says, although the railroad tracks run between the front porch and the Long Island Sound. Nonetheless, if you want an authentic clam shack experience, this is the place to come. It is not inexpensive: we ordered a small... More

I read a lot of reviews and talked to locals before deciding to choose this for dinner Friday night. I was not disappointed. My mom & daughter got big salads that were awesome, my husband and son got burgers which they said were very good and I had fried clams. I had not had any in so long and they... More

There is no atmosphere, but the lobster roll was amazing. This is a typical seafood lunch spot, but we were fine with the food.

Don't overlook this place! Very casual spot. Eat on the deck or takeout to the beach! We brout it back to eat on the patio of the Inn. The fish and chips, scallop dinner and lobster roll were favorites for us. Highly recommend it!

clam strips were awesome and fresh homemade tartar sauce. Onion rings also best I've had. Large platter for sharing was delicious. Friendly and courteous staff

Skippers is one of those places that delivers on it's promises. Way too many New England clam shacks have become nothing more than independent fast food joints. Everything is greasy and heavily breaded in an attempt to bury the not so fresh quality of their seafood. Skippers does things they way all these others used to. Light breading, freshest possible... Was on the way back home at 3pm and I just had a craving for fried clams. I know, I know, the worst possible thing I could eat trying to lose weight but somehow I justified it. I think they were the best ive ever had. Been a long time. Sat outside under the awning and watched the boats on... More

Lightly breaded, generous portion, I loaded it with delicious tartar sauce, I want to eat another one right now! Other offerings looked good too and prices comparable to other seafood shacks
