Went to Main Street Grille with high expectations. The staff and service were inadequate. First, wanted to sit outside and was told by a non caring young woman that it would be a 35 minute wait so we went inside. We could see the patio from our table and saw that 4 patio tables cleared almost immediately with no waiting... More

Marginal food, long wait, rude staff. Not worth the ridiculously high prices. One positive is the nice view

Stopped in for a quick bite for lunch on a chilly summer day. Had the artichoke crab dip. I felt it was a bit too cheesy and did not care for the flavored chips they served with it. We asked for some extra dinner rolls and they were perfect with the dip. They were also served fresh out of the... More

we enjoyed the wonderful view from the upper deck. It has about 8 tables with umbrellas and a lovely view of the bay around Niantic. The food was very good. Our wait person was very slow tho, others were in and out after us and we were still waiting on our main meal. The food was nice and I would... More

View from the deck was fair, but several Amtrak trains roared below our feet while we ate. Lobster Mac and cheese was disappointingly without much taste.

Arrived by sheer luck on Sunday, no reservation. Seated promptly outside as requested. Covered seating in a parking area. Trains going by, as were boats. Nautical decor. Enjoyed the food. Friend not impressed by the drinks, but cucumber giblet recommended by wait staff. Food was good. Locals recommended this and very busy. Good vibe overall

Waited for an hour to sit on upper deck. Checked twice on status only to find out our name was never given to the outside hostess by the inside hostess! Decided to sit inside as we were hungry. Then waited for wait staff as hostess hadn't made them aware we were seated! What a way to start. Asked to speak... More

I visited Main Street Grille and sat upstairs. The view is spectacular. I ordered lobster bisque and it was thick and congealed. next I had raw bar items, oysters, clams, shrimp, and lobster. My only complaint was that the shrimp do not compare to other raw bars I have been to. I also had a tuna salad. The tuna was... More

The food was ok, but not terrific and overpriced. The waitress asked me how I wanted my swordfish cooked, that confused me and it was dry and overcooked when I received it. I ordered water and I was brought seltzer water. The fried seafood platter mIy guest received was dry and skimpy. I would not rush back.

The hostess was friendly and accommodating, but that is the only positive thing I have to say about our dining experience. My daughter ordered a burger without onions and was instead given a chicken sandwich with onions. The waitress apologized but made zero effort to correct the mistake either by taking the item off the bill (common practice) or even... More
