My partner and I came here for a beer. The female bar tender took an eternity to acknowledge us (because she was too busy talking to another employee about buying a house). When we were acknowledged she took almost 10 minutes to pour 2 beers. Mind you it was NOT a busy time -- all other customers were already served.... More

The exterior of this building says classic pub with a modern twist, and that is precisely what we found. We visited on a Friday night with our toddler, and we immediately felt welcome as the hostess made sure we found a booth that best suited us. The menu was only one-page which is often a great sign because it means... More

We tired this as we were driving by without looking any reviews up, etc. It's located very nicely and easy parking right next to it. The interior is gorgeous, with a really unusual bar set up. The menu says a local guy designed the interior based on some old Irish bars, and the furniture is from Ireland. It was a... More

Beer and dinner with a friend, great Guinness but fluke was not fresh (tasted of ammonia) and very small portion, sweet potato fries were generous portion and excellent. Friend's crab cake appeared to be heavy on breading and more fiber than lump.

I've eaten here a bunch of times and the food is always good. It's funny to see the negative comments about one of the waitresses because on a recent visit we first had one of the most rude and snotty waitresses I've ever seen. I don't know if it was the same person previously mentioned. Luckily we ended up with... More

This was the worst experience in customer service I have ever had at a restaurant. Our server (Katlin) treated us like we were an annoying inconvenience. No smile, no "is everything OK"?, no eye contact, no "can I get you another drink", no "are you ready to order". When we first sat at the bar she gave us water and... More

The food was delicious, the waitress/bartender Katelyn was awful. I have never had a worse experience with waitstaff. As a waitress myself I know enough not to bring any bad attitude/mood to work. She ignored people, had rude responses to questions or ignored them all together all night. She avoided eye contact and looked extremely irritated that we actually were... More

Looking for a place for a nice lunch near The Griswold Museum, went in to Niantic and found the Black Sheep Pub. Not very crowded at first but then I guess the locals came in and got croweded. Very well put together Pub. Reasonable menu with something for everyone. If not so far away would go back more often. Love... More

After a 5 hour drive to Niantic on a Friday night, my husband and I enjoyed a relaxing dinner at The Black Sheep. I had the scallops and my husband had the ravioli dish. Both were excellent. We ended the meal by sharing a wonderful peppermint crème brule. The balance of the mint was perfect and did not overpower the... More
