My husband and I were looking for a local spot for a good dinner and a few drinks. We enjoyed two classic Irish entrees and wine; the portions were a good size and the prices very reasonable. The atmosphere was lively and fun and as the bar began to fill up, we realized it was Trivia Night and had a... More

Since the Black Sheep opened the hanger steak has been my favorite menu item. We hadn't been to the restaurant since early spring and were disappointed that the steak was no longer on the menu. They now serve a flat iron steak with bacon and cheese sauce. It was awful. I asked for medium rare, and although the steak was... More

Recommendation for night with dance bands. Set up the band to the right of the door as you walk in and move the table tops to the left of the door. This gives more room for dancing and people who are eating do not have butts in their faces.

My husband and I stop in here when in the area for lunch or dinner. We absolutely love it here. The service is always incredible and the food has always been delicious! My husband especially loves their special ketchup! I really can't say enough nice things about this restaurant. I love it here!

Some find it too noisy but we love the atmosphere -- Fire place roaring in the winter, great wine list, lots of beer choices. If you like Irish food, the shepherd's pie rocks. I'm a light eater so I typically get a glass of wine, their black sheep salad (with apples, walnuts, craisins and raspberry dressing) and another app like... More

We went there late night for the karaoke. I like the ambiance and the bartenders were friendly. There was a good crowd for a Wednesday night. I did not eat there, maybe next time I will get there earlier and will. It was a nice evening.

I live in town and have eaten here several times. The lighting is dark so you can not see the food. It was poor to fair at best. At one time we were the only ones there yet the service was not up to standard.

This is a local favorite and always has a nice crowd. The menu is adequate but not to be confused with a 5 star restaurant. The chicken pot pie is a popular dish. On the weekends, there is usually live music and the crowd is very casual and diverse so you will never feel out place. The woodwork from the... More

We stopped in for some appetizers, since we were too late for lunch and too early for dinner. We ordered mussels and vegetable dumplings. The mussels were ok, flavor wise, but these had to be the tiniest mussels ever! It's a good thing we weren't looking for a meal! The vegetable dumplings were excellent, but that seemed a bit incongruous... More
