The New Wok is one of my favorite restaurants in Newtown. The service is great and the food is fresh and tasty. You can bring your own wine or beer as they don't have a liquor license. Each meal starts with a plate if pickled vegetables. My favorite dish is ginger broccoli and chicken which I get just about every... More

The food here is consistently a cut or two above that of similar Chinese-style restaurants in the quality of the meats and vegetables used and the preparation of the meals. The service is always fantastic and extremely attentive.

The service is very fast and the staff is very friendly. We had the Szechuan Peppercorn Duo of Jumbo prawn & sliced chicken with mixed Asian vegetable sauteed in a spicy Szechuan sauce which was awesome. Tea and pickles are on the house. Very nice touch.

They have a nice menu. For appetizers we ordered boneless spare ribs and steamed vegetable dumplings. We liked the appetizers - hot and flavorful. Our main dishes were just average, I ordered the steamed chicken with vegetables and my husband had the chicken chow fun. The food was served hot but seemed a little bland. In addition. We had good... More

I ordered take-out from New Wok for the first time and was not disappointed. I ordered a lunch special - Beef & Broccoli with Garlic Sauce, fried rice, and wonton soup. Everything was very fresh and did not seem heavy on cornstarch, oil, and whatever else typically weighs down take-out Chinese. What surprised me the most was I could actually... More

The last time I placed a takeout order, I was promised it would be ready when I arrived. (We live twenty minutes away.) It wasn't. I was then told it was in preparation and would be ready shortly. It wasn't. I waited another half hour, during which I listened at least twice more to the same broken record -- in... More

Went Friday night and agree with another poster- I believe the old management is back. Food seemed much better prepared, though they love to bring everything out at once! Ordered the wonton and hot and sour soup, and with it came the fried dumplings. I had to request that they hold off on the main dish til at least we... More

So glad the old management is back..... the cashier they had for awhile was rude and unfriendly. The food quality at New Wok is always excellent and by far the best in the area.
