Bread

Yum yum yum...they bread is to die for. The cakes are the best. Great service! They are always bending over backwards to make you feel at home.

We have gone here for years, especially for birthday cakes. Their cakes are always yummy and the price reasonable. We have also bought pastries, bread and cookies and they are all great. Try their cannoli.

I stopped in to Giovanni's while in Connecticut on travel. This is an EXCELLENT bakery. After trying a couple of their cookies, I purchased a few to take home for family to try also.

I went in and had a special request for my mom's birthday. Spoke to the owner he said bring in a picture and we will make it happen. I did and when I went there it was done and mom was amazed it was delicious. My whole family enjoyed the Napoleon cake.

Don't go anywhere else!! Just don't! Best canoli, best cakes, best everything!! They don't skimp or over charge. You always know what you are going to get when you go there and they are the only bakery my family uses.

My wife and I chose Giovanni's bakery for our sons baptism because we had them make our wedding cake a few years back. As always the cake was amazing! By the end of the event what little was left over was being fought over by guests to bring it home. Everyone was so helpful in helping us decide as to... More

Having lived in the south end of Hartford's Little Italy for several years, I have sampled every Franklin Avenue's bakery fare. NONE can compare to the cakes, cannolis, bread, pizza, and pies from Giovanni's in Newington, CT. The goods taste homemade and are always fresh. We head for Giovanni's for all of our special occasion treats. LOVE the cappuccino cake!... More

I just love Giovanni's cannoli's!!! My whole family from NYC say that they never tasted better cannolis anywhere else, so when I go and visit on holidays it's a must on the desert table. Besides the cannoli's and all of there other yummy stuff I also love their GELATO my favorite flavor is NUTELLA/RICOTTA it's to die for, but if... More

When it comes to Italian fruit cakes, nobody makes them like Giovanni's! The strawberries and peaches are always plentiful and the whipped creme frosting is not too sweet and always fresh and tasty!
