Fantastic

The wine was good and the food was even better, As far as I'm concerned it worth looking for. It's hard to find but everything was so good I would urge you to find it

Spur of the moment decision to have dinner and try the Hidden vine. We were not dissapointed. Great small restaurant with wonderful atmospher. Our food was delicious and the portions just right. The restaurant is moderately priced

This place is off the beaten path, behind restaurants that are on Main Street in Newington. Their Happy Hour offers great appetizers, some big enough for a meal. The dinner menu is very good. They have entertainment inside, and outside on the patio in the nice weather. Staff is attentive and service very good. Great place to see your friends... More

Admittedly it been a while since we dined here, but there seem to be some issues with the food and overall experience. The menu is very limited, as was always the case, but the signature dishes fell short of the quality and presentation of our previous experiences. This must be reflected in the number of empty tables on a Friday... More

Our party of six chose the Hidden Vine because we had all had good dining experiences back when it was first opened. We were excited to see the restaurant reopen. Unfortunately, our experience was not as good as the first time. We found the food to be slightly less than average and the service poor. We had to ask for... More

I stopped by for a quick bite to eat after work. I was used to the old menu, under the previous management. Then, you could find delicately prepared delicious little goodies on the appetizer menu.. I perused what they now had to offer under the new management and nothing looked special but I settled for a margarita flatbread. Big fat... More

The food was slow to arrive and nothing special at all. They don't seem to know much about wine, just use a few buzz words. There was freezer burn taste on the dessert. Pretentious Italian titles on the menu and supermarket-grade pasta. A dreary little outdoor seating area in a parking lot. Stay home and save your money.

This wonderful upscale wine bar is family -owned and run by a most personable restauranteur, Josie, and her children....The former owner, Sal, was very welcoming ,Josie even more so. One feels like family and continues to enjoy a fine esoteric offering of Italian food .Ready to return....

As I am not from this area so this may be acceptable for trattoria style food.... reading all the reviews it sounded like the place we should go to. Started with Fried Fresh Mozzarella (frozen?) in marinara sauce(tasteless) , Calamari (the accompanying fried peppers were better ) and Sole Florentine..NO...NO... Service was very good...but this is not a "wine"bar...

My cousin came down from Albany and we had eaten there under the last owner. I read that they had reopened under new management but the chef was retained! Yes! I read all the fabulous reviews and knew it would be wonderful! I love that it's family! Justin was our waiter and very nice! We met the husband, who came... More
