Fabulous BBQ and Big Salads

Lots of room, friendyl staff, generous portions, fine with kids, plenty of room for large parties, and a fun bar with TV's. GREAT BBQ.

When we know we'll be in that section of CT around dinner or lunch time, we'll make a plan to go there. We love it. It's a family friendly eatery.

WOW! This place has delicious food! Their French Onion Soup is by far the best soup I've ever had! I love their BBQ Sundae and pulled pork! Definitely worth a try, you'll be hooked! I drive 45 minutes just to eat here!

We went on a Monday for the prime rib special. We got our food right off the bat the horseradish mash were ice cold. To top it off the prime rib was over cooked with lots of fat. The check was priced at 23.99 for the prime rib "special". We told our server the price was wrong he gave us... More

We've often gone by this restaurant and seen the parking lot full every time. So we stopped in one night to eat. The meals are gargantuan, the service is good, and the food -- especially if you are meat-lover -- is terrific. If you are looking for a true Barbecue-style meal there is no match for this place.

Decided to try here for dinner after driving by it for years. Food was great. Authentic BBQ taste and flavor. Staff was very friendly and the prices were not expensive at all.

Perhaps if you like barbecued food this place will appeal to you. I have driven by many times and finally decided to stop in for lunch. Big Mistake! I ordered the brisket sandwich and it was simply impossible to eat as a sandwich. The meat and everything else was cut up in small pieced and was smothered in revolting sauce.... More

The Cookhouse is the "go to" restaurant in New Milford. They are consistently at the top of the heap when it comes to CT barbecue. The wait staff is always very friendly and helpful with recommendations.

Before this month I had not dined at the Cookhouse since before the fire years ago. I ate there on a Friday night a week ago and last night (Saturday). The pulled pork is still top notch. I eat alone often, and this is one of those places that is comfortable to be alone. The quantity is much larger than... More
