Stopped for a quick lunch and sat on the back deck overlooking the Thames river. The sandwiches were generous - we ordered the tuna Salad and a grilled chicken with peppers and pesto. Food was tasty and fresh. The inside looked very cozy, like a great place to hang out for a cup of coffee - will definitely stop back... More

We were in New London to visit Connecticut College - we arrived early and asked the Associate Dean of Admissions if she could recommend a coffee shop - she immediately referred us to Muddy Waters and told us all the undergrads love it (ironically, after our tour the tour guide immediately recommended it to several others - we loved the... Really good sandwiches. The overhang over the water and the wonderful sunloight coming in the back makes this a great part of "old" New London.

Cute and casual cafe in New London on the water. Lots of seating outside and a nice view of the water. The service is good, staff is very friendly. Food is delicious - from nova lox on bagels and bacon egg and cheese for breakfast to roast beef sandwiches and tomato soup for lunch. Very affordable and good size portions... More

We came for breakfast, the owners are very friendly and the service was great. There is seating in the front , a very comfy sitting area towards the back and then an outdoor patio in the back. The coffee was delicious, and a good variety of yummy pastries. We ate breakfast which was served quickly and came to the table... More

This is a nice, local, coffee house with excellent sandwiches and other goodies. It has a great deck, and a pleasant interior. Friendly service, good coffee, and a good local atmosphere - what's not to like? A must stop if you are in historic New London.

I liked this place, it looks and feels very homey & funky and the good food was fresh. They have an unusual selection of very nice drinks, too.

Rainy day in new London and wanted a coffee and a cookie (got a muffin too!) Very nice and tasty. Got a comfy couch and sat and read lots of old circa 1950-1970 life magazines, watching the rain fall. Then got grilled cheese and soup mmmm. Perfect On a rainy day.

My wife and I really enjoy this place when we are in New London. The sandwiches are always fresh and very tasty and BIG. There is a great selection of drinks. I enjoy the hot chai. It is nice having a non-typical restaurant to eat in. It is very relaxing and today a gentleman was playing soft music on the... More
