What a find

We arrived in New London early for the Ferry to Long Island and wanted to grab a quick bite. My husband wanted breakfast and I wanted lunch and they had a great selection of both. You can sit outside and watch the Ferry load and it was very pleasant. The BLT with jalapeño bacon was fantastic.

Muddy Waters is only open for breakfast and lunch, but has a great view of the river from its deck and quaint, comfortable seating in an informal setting inside. We visit frequently. It is not unusual to hear someone playing the piano and games that are available. The menu, while limited has excellent specialty sandwiches and delicious soups daily. It... More

Friendly service, too. Made for a very welcome interlude on our brief but pleasant walking tour of New London.

Great spot to grab a coffee and a sandwich for lunch. Yes it is on Bank street so parking can be a challenge but worth the effort, shops up and down the street make it worth the walk. For me I love a good sandwich and a good cup of coffee and they had both. I ordered the beef sandwich... More

We stopped here for a quick bite to eat before catching the ferry and were pleasantly surprised. The girls working there were both very polite and very helpful. I had a small issue with my order, but they resolved it quickly and without a fuss. My party ordered the vegetable burgers and enjoyed them.

We're locals who have breakfast every Saturday at Muddy waters. They offer a wonderful selection of baked goods and breakfast sandwiches. Lunches include good sandwiches, salads, etc., all at very reasonable prices. The location is fabulous, next to the train station and the ferry slips, overlooking the busy harbor. Funky furniture, cozy seating and eclectic decorations (ship models, movie posters,... More

This charming homey, eclectic cafe serves up great coffee, muffins (not house made), bagels and wonderful soups and sandwiches for lunch. It's a great spot for locals to gossip and gather. It's the ONLY spot that serves the original Hughies Love Salad complete with garlic.
