After visiting a friend at L&M Hospital , we decided to have a late lunch. We saw The Recovery Room, and the menu looked interesting - falafel, gyros, Mediterranean -style salads. About 2pm, the lunch crowd was gone, and the place was quiet with only a few other patrons. I ordered a gyro sandwich and my husband had a Mediterranean... More

My husband and I stopped by the Recovery Room in New London. We'd moved from the area 10 years ago but had always enjoyed their pizza. We were a bit disappointed to learn the restaurant had a new owner but stayed for lunch anyway. We hadn't had a pizza like this one since we were kids. Crust was not too... More

No matter the time of year or day that I visit, the food is consistently great! The service is good as well - you always feel like you're a part of the family and that you're just a friend coming in to have some good food and relax. I highly recommend sampling the specials when available - the pizzas are... More

The menu consists of various thin crust white and red sauce pizzas, salads, burgers, and numerous Italian-like entrees. There are also daily specials. I strongly recommend the olive bread as an appetizer, which is a very crispy and tasty bread coated with caramelized... More

The Zuppa de Clams appetizer is excellent. Outstanding, thin-crust pizza with fresh toppings. Nightly specials are varied and delicious. Reasonably priced.Best when the owner is there.

Last evening, our family [12 of us] descended on the Recovery Room. We experienced an evening that shall be remembered by all. First of all, the antipasto , salad, olive bread and focaccia were a veritable banquet in themselves. Our family members opted next for a variety of pizzas, each delicious, ranging from spinach and gorgonzola to sausage and peppers,... More

The food is just okay at this point in time. I must say for the past 3 times over 2 months that I have eaten at the Recovery Room the service has been poor even on the side of rude every time. I have dined with various people and all members in our party have felt less then appreciated and... More

A New London staple, delicious pizza. Dining room is no frills, but they accommodated our large party very well.
