We had two couples from Colchester meet us here and never thought the line would be so long on a Wednesday nite. Lorraine and I normally go at 3:00pm Sundays or 2:00 pm Wednesdays and are prepared for the 1/2 hour wait in line which is not a problem for the quality of the meal we have and the atmosphere... I went recently for the lobster roll and was not disappointed. It's right on the marina, between the train tracks and the docks. A bit out of the way, but worth it. The outdoor seating area was clean, the counter staff efficient. They could use some shade for the people waiting in line to order, but otherwise, pretty good.

The Band John Fries and The Elements were playing and wanted to hear them. What a spot for dinner. We arrived about 4:30 pm on a Sunday. A beautiful day...A line was already forming. Got in line and ordered a oyster po boy, onion rings and a fish sandwich. It took about 10 minutes to order and about 15 min... More

Stopped at the Captains on a saturday night 530 pm with a party of 7. The line was long, but moved quickly. The menu was easy to order from and the staff was helpful and knowledgeable. 5 of us ordered fried seafood and to a person the portions were excellently sized and cooked to perfection. The steamers were very good... More

My wife and I stopped in at Captain Scott's in early August. What a treat. Delicious fresh food. Cooked well and no fuss. You decide what you want, order from the window and pick up when your name is called. There are plenty of condiments to choose from. There is a lot of seating both covered and uncovered. It sits... This is definitely the place to go in New London for any kind if fresh seafood!! Had to wait in line for over 45 minutes to step up to the counter to order. Lobster Rolls - the best I had on vacation from Texas and the outside seating provided a great view of the water.

In hot pursuit of a better lobster roll, I drove an hour to Captain Scott's. The lobster is fresh, $15.95 for large roll that is actually the size you would expect to eat. I saw one in the pickup window and asked if it was the large or small. The clam fritters were the surprise. Never had eaten one before,... More

Such a fun summer spot where you can BYOB & sit at picnic benches while watching the boats come & go. Place your order & they'll call your name when your food is ready, hot & oh so fresh.. The lobster is consistently good and I love that the lobster roll now comes in 2 sizes. The scallops, chowders &... More
