Hard to find, but nice set-up. Right on the docks, you order at the window and eat at picnic tables on the dock. I got the Rhode Island Clam Chowder Bread Bowl - $7. I guess I didn't know what RI Clam Chowder was (it's like chicken noodle soup but with bits of clam instead of chicken, which means it... More

This place is a New London tradition. It is a little hard to find, so pay attention to the signs. Very fresh seafood in a charmingly funky spot in "Old New London."

We went there with friends recently. They live in the area and said the Lobster Dock was their favorite place to get fried whole belly clams and any kind of lobster meal. Turns out they were right...... three of the four of the party had the whole belly clam platters which are served with fries and coleslaw. I had warm... More

My spouse and I visited for a Sunday lunch. We were impressed by the other reviews on Tripadvisor and had to check it out for ourselves. The place was fairly busy but we were able to order within about 10 minutes. The food came out fairly quickly; maybe 10 minutes. We ordered clam chowder, fish sandwich, lobster roll (small), onion... I'm a big fan of the lobster shack, and so my standards might be high, but this restaurant that is near the Amtrak train tracks in New London is only so-so. It's got a very nice outdoor space for eating, the food is prepared quickly, but in general our food was greasier than average for this type of establishment. I... More

We are always looking to dine outdoors with our dog. We had our tablecloth , wine and wine glasses so we were all set for a lovely late lunch. Captain Scott's was just perfect--- it offers many shaded tables and enough room to keep our dog with us and not bother anyone. As usual we enjoyed sharing some tasty, fresh... More

Driving to this restaurant, we thought we took a wrong turn. Driving down a street heading into what looked like a run down warehouse district, it looked like the street ended and suddenly it opened up to the left and a huge parking lot was PACKED! We knew we hit gold when we saw the line to order. It took... More
