Sure it's expensive, but you knew that. It is so good and so worth it. The staff is very friendly and the service is super quick. One of the best places in New London

The food is delicious, casual dining (not "cheap" since we're still talking seafood here!). Picnic tables by the marina with a nice breeze. A summer staple!

They have very good food. It is located on the water near a marina, with a good outdoor atmosphere. it is a bit pricey, but all the local little outdoor seafood places are. We have been going here for years.

Our family tradition has been steamers, fried whole-bellied clams and lobster rolls at the Cove in Mystic... one we don't miss on visits to our old home area. HOWEVER, the Cove was "closed for the season" this week. With it up for sale, we knew we needed to find some back-up plan. Captain Scott's will not only be a back-up... More

Small place right on the water near marinas and downtown New London. Opened seasonally, with only outdoor picnic table seating and half of the area covered and out of the sun. BYOB....and enjoy fried seafood/fish or a wonderful lobster salad served on a bun or atop a salad. Always busy, and always good! We go several times a season...

We have been going to Capt Scotts for years. It is a basic outdoor seating restaurant of fried fish and seafood dishes. It is a very popular BYOB place and sits right on the water next to the AMTRAK train tracks. It takes a little bit to find this place the first time, but once you do you will be... More

Yes, get a lobster roll or two! It is their specialty and you should have that the first time you visit, then you can branch out. Bring your own wine or beer and you will have an incredible value meal. Fantastic atmosphere and friendly servers. Not easy to find, but a "Must visit".

We stopped late in the afternoon for a quick bite and had the dock to ourselves. Very tasty lobster roll and fried clams. Nice service on the dock looking at the boats and listening to the gulls and church bells.

The first warm Friday of spring brought out a nice crowd around dinner time, so we were fortunate to arrive about 15 minutes before the place got busy. Our young kids enjoyed watching the trains pass by, and seeing the boats. Picnic table seating (clean), and folks bring their own wine & beer (and many seemed to bring their own... More

Great food ... I have never been disapointed, but do not forget your credit card ! It is very expensive for the venue, but you do get a nice serving. The menu is exstensive so there is something to be enjoyed by everyone. Great fun for a gathering of friends to sit and chat while enjoying a seafood feast. I... More
