We went there with friends recently. They live in the area and said the Lobster Dock was their favorite place to get fried whole belly clams and any kind of lobster meal. Turns out they were right...... three of the four of the party had the whole belly clam platters which are served with fries and coleslaw. I had warm... More

My spouse and I visited for a Sunday lunch. We were impressed by the other reviews on Tripadvisor and had to check it out for ourselves. The place was fairly busy but we were able to order within about 10 minutes. The food came out fairly quickly; maybe 10 minutes. We ordered clam chowder, fish sandwich, lobster roll (small), onion... I'm a big fan of the lobster shack, and so my standards might be high, but this restaurant that is near the Amtrak train tracks in New London is only so-so. It's got a very nice outdoor space for eating, the food is prepared quickly, but in general our food was greasier than average for this type of establishment. I... More

We are always looking to dine outdoors with our dog. We had our tablecloth , wine and wine glasses so we were all set for a lovely late lunch. Captain Scott's was just perfect--- it offers many shaded tables and enough room to keep our dog with us and not bother anyone. As usual we enjoyed sharing some tasty, fresh... More

Driving to this restaurant, we thought we took a wrong turn. Driving down a street heading into what looked like a run down warehouse district, it looked like the street ended and suddenly it opened up to the left and a huge parking lot was PACKED! We knew we hit gold when we saw the line to order. It took... More

The food was good. I had the lobster dinner and it was a bit over cooked. The atmosphere was nice. Overall it was a nice place to eat with the outdoor seating.

Great view. Lots of outdoor seating right next to the water. Dress warm on a chilly day as it can get windy. The food was delish. Everything here looked and smelled good. The lobster roll was excellent. The restaurant is hidden and off the main road so be prepared for an interesting drive.

Absolute best lobster salad, stuffed clam and fish and chips. All this and outside eating on the dock, can't be beat...a must, and ice cream too .

We live 30mins away and usually visit 3-5 times a year. The line can be long at times, but it moves steady. I also appreciate that however crazy busy they may be, I've never had to wait more than 30mins for the order to be ready. Everything here is so fresh! My fave is the clam cakes and new england...
