We had read about the award that Gaspar's received as announced in Connecticut magazine, "best seafood restaurant in southeastern CT" and wanted to see for ourselves. This restaurant has it all - a great atmosphere (my friends from Spain love it here and always order the lobster bisque), great selection of seafood, shellfish and steaks. I sent friends visiting the... More

I live in southeastern Connecticut and I love to go out to eat for dinner and for drinks and Gaspars has emerged as one of my favorite spots for dining. The staff is always attentive and the new chef is creative and uber talented, serving up some excellent specials. I've been for lunch and dinner and recently had a fantastic... More

There were only three small pieces of lobster (one the size of a quarter and two the size of a dime) buried in the sauce. This is a $29 dish! The photo on their website menu clearly shows a mound of lobster placed on top this dish. Baklava with Coconut Ice Cream - First it is not baklava - there... More

My wife and I stopped in on a Friday night, we hadn't been in quite sometime. I can't say why we hadn't been patronizing this establishment more often maybe because we live 20 miles north of New London and we hate the drive at night but we have made up our minds to go more often. My wife had somthing... More

Have been 4 times in the past year. I've never been disappointed, but never blown out. Casual american food with a nice twists to make it a little special. It's been around and will remain. A lot of people I know like it and I'd go again. Just wouldn't say, "hey, I want Gaspars tonight."

My Mother and I were eating on a limited budget and small appetites, so we just ordered appetizers for our meal, fearing that they would be expensive and miniscule. NOT SO!! Wow!! I ordered chicken-something (sorry, I can't remember the name of it) and it came in a small tureen, and was so much that I was VERY full when... More

6 of us went to Gaspar's recently and none of us would ever go back. The service was so very slow. Our waitress took forever to take our order. We had to look for her. I ordered a salad that I was sharing. When the salad arrived, it wasn't split. The waitress told us she would be right back with... More

We have a college student in New London, CT and although we continue to find great places to eat in the area, we always make a point of eating here when we visit, as do other family members. The menu is always evolving but we have never been disappointed in a dish. The menu is very creative. Salads are unique... More

We had amazing lobster bisque with large pieces of lobster! My husband had the calamari dinner which he really enjoyed. It was different as the calamari was wrap around a sausage mixture.
