Just a smidgen under great...

Enjoyed dinner at the bar. Restaurant was a bit quiet with a couple of tables taken and 3 people at the bar. Bartender was super friendly and helpful. He presented the specials very well. I ordered the Stonington scallops which were very good. Tender (5-6 pcs) on a bed of moist rice. Dessert was... read more

Started with Lobster Bisque and a half dozen Oysters on the half. Oysters were very good while we thought the Bisque was on the salty side. Next came the Seafood Special (clams, shrimp, sea scallops and some local cod) served over a linguine lemon butter sauce, excellent! However we also ordered the steak with mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts and crispy... More

Used to go here after work for happy hour and it was great, but I recently went for lunch and found out they changed the menu. My favorite apps were terrible! I believe they made a bad decision to change the food. Wont go back.

We wanted a quick bite before catching the ferry. Walked around New London, which is looking worse for the wear these days. Many restaurants out of business. So, we drove down Bank Street a bit and happened upon Gaspar's -- what a treat!! We explained that we were limited on time and our server, Jason, brought drinks immediately and advised... More

Over cooked fish and steak, sent both back and asked for two rare steaks, one came rare and second came med well. Menu said whipped potatoes but they were a dry and chunky mashed. Gave two stars because apps were OK. Bought us a drink for it but won't be going back any time soon.

We have been twice now and all we can say is YUM! We are complete foodies and hard to please but this place hits the mark on service, food and atmosphere. We will make this a regular stop. Thanks to all the staff that spoil us.

On our way home and read a positive review so we stopped for a bite. So glad we did! Had the Lobster Bisque and it was worth going out of our way for - smooth, thick, with plenty of meat. Also order the Calamari appetizer - perfectly cooked and a large dish for an appetizer. Ordered a martini special and... More

Always trying new places, and while the food was designed well and shows creative touch, the price is out of touch with reality. 2 beers. 2 dinners and an app came to $80 we left a 20 % tip on top of that. So while using a plastic pipette so I can squeeze gravy onto 7 asparagus tip is cute.... More

Gaspar's catered my wedding last night and I could not have asked for a better team of people. The food was AMAZING and the service was flawless. They arrived at the venue early in the morning and handled all the cooking, setup, serving, and breakdown. The staff were professional, friendly, and helpful. Chef Eric is a superstar--my guests were telling... More
