Surprisingly good Sunday Brunch

Went for lunch this past Sunday and found out they were only serving a $20/plate Sunday Brunch that included a cocktail, an entree and a buffet (arrived too late for that). Everyone's meal was great. Service was equally great - friendly server. I'd go back!

Having eaten at Gaspar's dozens of times, I felt it was time for a review. The short review: Great food, excellent service, creative menu, clean and comfortable atmosphere. The longer version: Lisa is my favorite bartender and server of all time. She is attentive, knowledgeable, and a joy to be around. The menu is always changing, and the specials board... More

Got the special, cheeseburger, and was average and medium. Ordered med rare. Service was excellent, and restaurant was clean and well decorated. Overall good to above average experience. Would return.

I have only ever been here for drinks and snacks but have been more than satisfied with the quality of both. Prices are extremely reasonable, and the appetizers are tasty and artistically presented. Particularly yummy are their occasional sushi offerings.

We had the good fortune to stumble on Gaspar's on our way to Groton. This was well worth a side trip. The food was great and the white linen table cloths and napkins were outstanding. When they played Edith Piaf I just melted. Go and enjoy !!

Wow - our friends introduced us to this easy-to-get-to restaurant right on Bank Street...they enjoy eating out often and are particular about quality and atmosphere. They raved about Gaspar's and wow were they right. Everything from the drinks to the dishes had some unique aspect or ingredient that made them stand out. My espresso martini was dynamite and my wife's... More

The first time I ate at Gaspar's, I had one of the best Reuben sandwiches ever. Obviously, I raved about the place to everyone. Then the next time I took one of those people there, they asked about the Reuben and I raved again. Mistake. Apparently, the chef changes things out once in a while, but with a classic sandwich,... We had read about the award that Gaspar's received as announced in Connecticut magazine, "best seafood restaurant in southeastern CT" and wanted to see for ourselves. This restaurant has it all - a great atmosphere (my friends from Spain love it here and always order the lobster bisque), great selection of seafood, shellfish and steaks. I sent friends visiting the... More

I live in southeastern Connecticut and I love to go out to eat for dinner and for drinks and Gaspars has emerged as one of my favorite spots for dining. The staff is always attentive and the new chef is creative and uber talented, serving up some excellent specials. I've been for lunch and dinner and recently had a fantastic... More

There were only three small pieces of lobster (one the size of a quarter and two the size of a dime) buried in the sauce. This is a $29 dish! The photo on their website menu clearly shows a mound of lobster placed on top this dish. Baklava with Coconut Ice Cream - First it is not baklava - there... More
