Really love Chaplin's. The menu is excellent and eclectic. Never had a disappointing meal here. The appetizers and entrees are equally superb.

The menu is small but offers a good variety with moderate pricing. The food was fresh and prepared very well. The service is friendly and attentive but not annoying. The ambiance is good and the place is clean. All the right requirements for a great dining experience! Don't miss it.

This little restaurant tucked in on Bank St, New London offers great seafood at very reasonable prices. The just recently won second place in the New London Main Street Spring Food Stroll Culinary Contest. Worth checking out.

Stopped in early on a Saturday evening. The place is nice and well decorated. The menu is small and easy to navigate. The prices were a bit high considering the portion size and lack of bread. The food was decent, though not great. It got busy quickly though, so the locals seem to like it. Glad i tried it, but... More

Having heard that the place is small and can fill up when there is an event downtown, we made reservations and we greeted warmly. I understand it is a small kitchen and owner operated, but the appetizer list is rather short, and overall the menu only had a few vegetarian options. Of course I was there for seafood and I... More

My husband and I were looking for suggestions for a different place to enjoy a date night out together. One of our friends recommended Chaplin's so we decided to give it a try. It was a Friday night , but it wasn't overly crowded and we were quickly seated. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was very good... More

Located on Bank Street in New London, this eatery serves up seasonal foods, and specialties. The space is small so if you are thinking of going on the weekend, call for reservations first. On busy nights, parking can be a problem since it is on the street. The Owner/Chef puts out delicious food in nice portions. Definitely try his homemade... More

We first went to Chaplin's about 2 years ago when they first opened, Urban pioneers, this neighborhood was ready to be gentrified, but was still rough around the edges when Jack Chaplin took the plunge and opened this intimate bistro. A simple dining room, with crisp white tablecloths, fresh flowers and candles, original artwork and a quiet ambiance made a... More

Chaplin's is a small, quaint restaurant located on the main drag, Bank Street, in New London, CT. The service is great, food is fantastic. I went there with a party of 12 and they were able to accommodate all of us at a very cozy table. ALL of our meals came to us piping hot. Try the flounder stuffed with... More
