Food is good, the environment is nice, but some time the staff lacks of hospitality and timeliness. My favorite dish here is the Pad Thai, and the hot basil. You are going to be happy here if you love spicy foods (like I do). I go here once every month or two. It's affordable and it has a good location... More

Was in New Haven on business recently and our hotel (the Omni) recommended Thai Taste as their "best Thai in town." Can't disagree - it was really good! We enjoyed the Pad Thai and Prih Khing - and both were awesome. The Prih Khing had a bit more coconut milk than we were accustomed to, but it was a great... More

I have been to Thai Taste many times and I always get good service, good food, and good atmosphere. My favorite dish is the Chicken Massaman Curry. It's always served hot and the portion is more that enough. I really enjoy their cocktails as well. They don't skimp on the alcohol when mixing their drinks. The presentation of food and... More

There are 6 Thai restaurants within a block but we went here on our concierge's recommendation. Endless wait for table even though we could see empty tables on arrival. Food was just average and bland. Pad Thai was particularly tasteless.

Thai dinner food served in five minutes. Large restaurant filled with college students. Filthy bathrooms. Not recommended for a nice evening out on the town.

After a reception at the Yale Art Gallery, my wife and I decided to try Thai Taste for the first time. This turned out to be a very positive experience and I will look forward to a return visit. When we entered the restaurant on a Thursday evening, about 75% of the tables were occupied and many by orientals- I... More

We live in New Haven and go here often for the curries. Try to get a booth under the windows. Great martini specials. If you like hot food, order the Dancing Squid!

Having visited Thailand, I can identify good--and authentic Thai cuisine. And though Thai Taste isn't like being back in the middle of Bangkok, it's still pretty darn tasty and authentic enough to serve visitors. And yes-- the reviews about the food being HOT? That's authentic, people, and is referred to as "Thai hot." If you like the spice, the authentic... More

This restaurant is located below street level in what I think used to be the bar, The Old Heidelberg, when I was a student, and still has that pub like feel. The food was very good, though, especially the yellow curry I tasted. My dish was a little too hot for me and I do like some spice, but had... More

Coming from the UK I must be spoilt with authentic Thai cuisine. The food was not real Thai (flavours/ingredients) and the chicken was overcooked/chewy.
