Description: Our new restaurant in the heart of downtown New Haven serves extraordinary Latin-influenced cuisine by the proprietor; renowned chef, teacher and cookbook author, Rafael Palomino. Along with traditional Tapas, his signature dishes include Seafood Paella and Dulce de Leche Cheesecake and a special Late Night Menu. The New Haven Advocate raves: “The warm, human buzz in the two-floor-high space plays off the colors and the open kitchen to create an emulsion of atmosphere that is more than the sum of its parts.”

I was very anxious to try Pacifica given its reviews. However, we experienced awful uneven service and poor, overpriced food.. Took 20 minutes to receive a menu, 45 mins for soup/salad, and 75 mins for the tapas. The ceviche was warm (rather than cold) and all the others were undercooked and cold. Upon leaving, we remarked how poor the service... More

We were a party of 5 which should not have been complicated but the service was slow and uneven. It took forever for the appetizer to come out - it took so long for the entrees to come out that they offered us a second appetizer which came at the same time as the entrees. The food was good when... More

I called ahead of time to find out if they serve the prix fix lunch on Sunday as well as brunch and they assured me they did. We arrived and they didn't so we left.

I love this restaurant! Having lived in New Haven for many years we have seen some good restaurants bought up by Yale. This one however is still here and still great! The food is amazing, well priced, the drinks are cold and fresh, and the best part is the waitstaff is kind. I have brought clients, family and friends and... More

My husband and I dined here on a Sunday afternoon and both ordered from the prix fixe brunch menu. All of the food (and of course the sangria!) was delicious, perfectly cooked, and simply but beautifully presented. The service was outstanding too. We will definitely be returning in the future for dinner.

Pacifico has become our default spot for sitting at the bar during happy hour and having a couple of tapas and wine or margueritas on our trips to New Haven. And the margueritas are definitely not from a mix! Fastastic. Other offerings we suggest: quacamole, sweet plaintains, and the beet salad with chevre and microgreens. One night on this trip,... More

We had high expectations for Pacific but were very disappointed. The entrees were below par. Fish Tacos were served on soggy soft shells that fell apart. Very little duck in the quesadillas, crab cakes were average. I have had better food at a Ruby Tuesdays for 1/4 the price. We visited Pacifico's sisters sister restaurant Tapas in Bethlehem which is... More

I'm not typically into candle light dinners with co-workers, but this place is really decent lots of spice. Great drinks and wonderful deserts. Service is top notch. Little high on the price.

On a recent trip to New Haven we walked by this restaurant and decided to give it a try. The menu is somewhat Latin with some interesting choices. I had the Chilean Sea Bass and my wife had the Mediterranean Sea Bass. Both were cooked perfectly. The wine menu is fairly extensive and relatively reasonable in price. I would recommend... More
