Best Italian in a town with tough competition!

Our friend has lived in New Haven over 30 years but just heard about Adriana's. Located in a decidedly low-end neighborhood (the parking lot has a guard) but well worth the trip. Make the trip to have the John Dory! Excellent !!! If not a fisher person you have to try the veal chop! But the apps are so wonderful you can't go wrong! All deliciously prepared!!! Manja! Ciao!

Fabulous food and service! The sea bass their signature dish is scrumptious!! Don't miss the veal and their pasta wow!! It is noisy but the noise level indicates the amount of fun everyone is having enjoying their dinner!!!

Adriana's has evolved from a solid, Italian fare restaurant featuring an array of veal specials into a superior wide-variety Italian food delight. The veal dishes remain extraordinary. But now, the seafood dishes are equally elegant and delicious. The atmosphere and service are also superior.

We have visited Pepe's countless time in the past, but we were curious about trying the number one rated restaurant in New Haven, which has some solid Italian eateries. I sharply disagree with many of the glowing past reviews of this establishment. Yes, it was nice to have complementary the pepper, onion, and celery condiments along with the fresh bread... More

Steve and Eydie and the Rat Pack are quietly crooning in the background. The recipes too seem to be from the 1940s to '60s. But that is a good thing when flawlessly executed and incorporating the best quality ingredients. Homemade pasta, superb fresh seafood, a serious wine list, what's not to like? Many reviewers have commented on the huge portions.... More

Loved, LOved, loved it. Came in on a mOnday around 2pm...not zealously greeted at door but after seated and we received our waiter things improved. Maybe because they like 2-4pm as "down time", not sure. Our food was freshly prepared, hot, and awesome presentations on all. Salad, bread, was fresh and tasty. Accommodating and helpful in suggesting menu items. All... More

Had lunch here with friends, I left feeling like I just left a Holiday dinner. The food was spectacular and the portions are generous. I had the filet Mignon and it was perfect. I will be back with the family for dinner.

First rate service was exceeded by the food quality. 2 had 36oz veal chop and I had rigatoni. Mozzarella cheese as an app was to die for. Don't worry about neighborhood, security parking . Well worth the trip.. 9.5 out of 10.
