Good falafel, good price

Of the many falafel/middle eastern places in New Haven, Mediterranea is good, but doesn't necessarily stand out. The combos are a good amount of food for a good price and the babaganoush is probably the best thing they make - smoky but not too garlicky. Like other reviewers say, skip the Italian... read more

Stopped in for a Gyro - horrible. Ordered without lettuce and it came loaded with lettuce. The lamb was reheated from the fridge and cut up -- it was hard to chew. At 12:30 on a Friday there were 3 customers - total.

Every dish is carefully prepared. In addition to the favorites like felafel, hummus, and kebobs, there is a wonderful rice, pea, and nut in pastry dish called Ouzi; Babba gounoush. The kebbeh is great, too, and the owner, Omar is a warm-hearted host. We go often.

Good middle-eastern. Skip the Italian menu. Don't go on weekends, it's overrun with teenagers there for the apple tobacco hookahs (unless that's what you're looking for). BEST TABOULEH in New Haven, possibly CT.
