Another restaurant that attempts to impress and simply does not. The meals sound much more interesting than they taste. The atmosphere is kind of Disney-like. Why would anyone eat here if they could eat at the Union League Cafe instead?

As new resident to New Haven I am still working my way down the restaurant list, and Zinc had been on my to-do for some time. Today was the day, an early dinner with my daughter. What first catches your eye entering zinc is - not much. The decor is dark, in I guess what is described as a minimalist/modern... More

Never dined in New Haven before and needed a central location for a group dinner for 7. This turned out to be an excellent find. The decor is contemporary zinc table tops and menus - casual but very nicely done. The menu offered a great diversity of interesting food for all. I had chicken/mushroom sausage over wild rice with chopped... More

Their chicken and goat cheese salad is maybe my favorite lunch order in all of Haven. Nice atmosphere at lunchtime, too. I've never been there for dinner, though.

This place has great service and above average food. Went here for a special date night and Zinc delivered. Good food selection, would go again without question.

Friendly service, nice atmosphere, not too loud even when busy, exciting food selection. The appetizer, shrimps with onions and mash potatoes, was joy for the eyes and the palate. The tuna was good (but somewhat hard to digest). We selected a Pinot Noire from Argentina, good and reasonably priced. Desserts look and taste very good. We will be back, even... More

I have eaten at Zinc several times. I decided it was time to write a review. I would start with the wine and cocktail menu. There is a decent choice in terms of both red and white wines. However, I am really impressed by the cocktail menu. If you are adventurous, you would be able to find one you enjoy.... More

We had not been to Zinc for many years, but based upon recent reviews on sites such as Tripadvisor, I thought that we might give it another try. The menu is very creative and we sampled the Andouille Sausage and Crawfish as well as the Fried Brussels Sprout small plates which were delicious. The Sea Scallops, Duck with Apple and... More
