Rhubarb tart is best of the best

We had a lunch. Everything is perfect: The tuna. But the most surprising was the rhubarb tart. The taste was balanced in every aspect.

Not my type of place. The food is pretty good but I found it a little stuffy and tight. To their credit, they've been around for many years and have been successful. Location is great with plenty of street parking available. Not my first choice in New Haven dining though.

Zinc is the best restaurant in New Haven, by far. Creative pairings of flavors and beautiful presentations by Chef Denise Appel, cheerful staff, pleasant surroundings. Salads and small plates are so inventive and delicious. And dessert! Salt caramel gelato, chocolate cherry cake, and so many more delights await. Excellent wine list.

I went there with my friends to have some wine and small plates. Service was professional and atmosphere was very intimate and romantic, probably due to many candles all around us. Food was really great and I'll definitely go there again!

Impossibly packed together tables - sardine can seating. Modern, Edgy, Urban, Concept Decorating = Boring Interior Design Wait staff snooty and pushy - in too much of a hurry to get you out and the next table in. The menu - large, diverse, interesting and appetizing. The food - superb. I mean, SUPERB. It's been almost a year since we... More

Busy night during Yale graduation. They did a great job getting families in and out without feeling too rushes.

I definitely enjoyed the salmon BLT for lunch here. Fresh ingredients, and served in a quick manner. This was a very good lunch restaurant, and I would love to come back here again. The service was above average.

Don't go to New Haven often to eat even though even 10 minutes away, mostly due to parking hassles and traffic, but went to see the Cherry Blossoms on wooster St. Nice spring day so went downtown to eat and walk around the Yale Campus. After walking up and down Chapel St. Zinc looked the most appealing. My wife had... More

We chose Zinc after a recommendation from a friend. It is located close to the green and parking is never easy when it is a wintery day. Once you are in the eatery...Wow! The decor and ambience feels like you stepped into a NYC restaurant. The food is freshly prepared with locally sourced ingredients from farms. The service was 5... More
