Although pricey, like $30 for just an entree, and $12 for an appetizer, the food was delicious. The scallops with rice excellent, the spinach absolutely unique, and the tuna very good. Atmosphere informal but nice, staff friendly and efficient. Their wine menu leaves a lot to be desired though...they only have 1 chardonnay by the glass offered, and that pricey... More

Pricey with respectable quality, service and tastes. Our table of four ordered three appetizers and four dinners. No leftovers:)! Could offer more options for vegetarians but overall a lovely experience.

We were in New Haven for a play and, based on other reviews on Tripadvisor, made an early dinner reservation at Zinc. The space is hip but what really stands out is the food, American with a hint of Asian fusion (I had the hanger steak and my wife the cantonese duck; both were terrific). Until now, New Haven has... What started off a little on the wrong foot (we had reservations and the restaurant was maybe 1/5 full - the hostess took us to the way back room which was overlit and more for party use), turned totally wonderful to one of the best meals I've had in a restaurant in a long time. Be prepared to pay, but... More

Zinc is consistently on the mark with great service, great food, and fair pricing. We've had dinner there many times and are not only never disappointed, but always newly impressed with the over-all dependable quality of this classy restaurant. On a recent Saturday evening we enjoyed a leisurely dinner at Zinc with friends; four different entrees, and four happy diners!... More

We went to Zinc for lunch the day after Thanksgiving. Four of us all enjoyed our meal. First, Zinc gives you a complimentary appetizer of toasted bread with a red pepper spread which was delicious. The salads were excellent and the Tuna was wonderful. When I go to New Haven again, I will want to eat at Zinc.

Came here to celebrate our son's law school graduation and it was just right! Small plates gave us a lot of tastes and all were fantastic! Informal but modern and trendy. Friendly staff and nice riff on the periodic table of elements!

Had an absolutely wonderful experience at Zinc this week. Went there for a nice anniversary dinner and was more than pleased with the experience. We liked the ambiance and the vibe of the place. It wasn't so noisy we couldn't talk, and the place was quite busy. The service was attentive and friendly and overall quite excellent. The star of... More

We as a family come to Zinc for the last couple of years, and are always happy when leaving. There has never been a disappointment. The food is fabulous, great new ideas during the seasons, sometimes experimental, but in a good way. The staff is friendly, the drinks are extraordinary with exotic combinations, but we were always excited to try... More
