The wait stunk

The wait was horrible but a few down is a bakery I stopped in for a water ice for the kids and the wait went much quicker! The pizza was AMAZING and worth the hour wait for us. I loved the sausage. And my son and husband were speechless over the clam pizza! We r going again next visit

Visited with friends, got seated immediately but it was 4 p.m. Waited 25 minutes for our pizza, one spinach, mushroom and gorgonzola, one salami and one cheese and tomato. Worth tge wait, best pizza we have ever eaten, so much we took the rest home to eat next day for breakfast! Such an authentic restaurant and a dining experience as... More

We have to wait about 25 minutes to be seated. Even if we were told we had to wait an hour it would have been worth it. A very comfortable casual dining experience, but the PIZZA, OMG, amazing. Living in PA, they don't make pizza like that. True italian cuisine, that I will dream about until my next return.

My husband and I went after an appt we had in New Haven. Arrived just before noon and were seated immediately at the booth directly by the window when you walk in. The service was excellent and our waitress was very attentive and friendly. We ordered the local bottled soda Foxon Park – a diet cola and the gasossa (lemon... More

Mediocre white clam pie. Bland crust, grossly misjudged topping/crust proportions, and less-than-fresh clams. Doesn't even bear mentioning in the same breath as Franny's (Brooklyn) wonderful and justly famous rendition of the dish. The margherita wasn't much better. Highly disappointing for what is supposed to be the benchmark for American coal oven pizza.

Highly recommend the clam pizza. No frills restaurant, great pizza and large portions. Heard so much about the restaurant from locals and people who like to stop on their drive through the area. Well worth the lunch stop.

Originally, I had planned to try apizza at Sally's down the road. It was closed so I tried Frank's and could not have been more pleasantly surprised. The portions were very large for the price. Two people stuffed full for $20 (and boxing some of it). Beyond the price, the pizza was amazing. The dough had a sourdough tang and... More

You have to go here if you are a pizza lover and looking for amazing coal fired oven pizza. You may have to wait in line but it is worth it!
