Come on people...87th place in New Haven? Sally's is the best pizza I have ever had. Do yourself a favor get in line 15 minutes before they open and you will get right in. Go up to Libby's after for amazing lemon ice!

For all the media attention this place received one would think the staff would be on their A game. But this is a poorly maintained pizza restaurant. Retro is one thing, but dingy, tacky and worn out is neglect, The staff barely smiles (unless you are regular), barely makes eye contact and the kitchen staff takes forever to deliver a... More

I love Sally's Pizza because it isn't greasy and it is thin and crunchy. A worthy rival of Pepe's, which is located down Wooster St.

If you've never had New Haven pizza, you haven't lived. There are three of the best pizza parlors in the country all within just a mile or so of each other. Pepe's and Sally's are both on Wooster Street, New Haven's version of Little Italy, just steps from each other. Wooster Street is a great place to eat dinner, then... More

Located down the Street from Frank Pepe's, Sally's was started by Frank's brother. Its an amazing pie and some swear by it above all others. They are up for sale as of May 2014 proving all good things must come to and end. sally's never expanded like Frank's has in the last decade. Get it while you can, not sure... More

Something has been up with Sally's ever since the matriarch, Flo, died a year or so ago. They're now closed two days a week (Monday and Tuesday instead of just Monday), and the long long lines that used to form outside every night are noticeably shorter. Recently we learned that the restaurant is for sale. It appears the remaining family... More

As other have posted, Sally's definitely has the best pizza in New Haven, and I could easily see why it is continually reviewed so positively. As others have noted, there is almost always a wait. The actual amount of time can vary but during the spring and summer, its pretty pleasant to stand outside and it is most definitely worth... More

We hadn't been to Sally's in several years. We waited outside for about half an hour, then waited another hour while seated to get our pizza. Others around us were complainly loudly and visibly about how long they had waited. We had out of town visitors and were happy to sit at Sally's and talk while waiting. And it was... More

The reviews here run the gamut. The place has been there since 1938, they must be doing something right. Yes, it looks like it has been there since 1938, but there was a line on a recent Friday night, almost all locals. There must be a reason. Only one couple gave up and left rather than wait. We waited our... More
