Excellent pizza

Sally's pizza is probably the best pizza in New Haven equally as good as Pepe's or Modern just depends on what you like they're both excellent

If you don't mind the long 1 hr plus wait on a cold Saturday evening, it worth the experience. If you like homemade red sauce you will love the Pizza.

Once you've had Sally's, there's no going back. It is without equal. As soon as they slide the bubbling pan of pizza heaven in front of you, the long wait, the lack of anything else on the menu, the so-so service and the run down decor recede into the distance and you focus on the best pizza this side of... The place has character. Loved the decor, the setting, the waiter. Pizza was delicious! If you've never had New Haven pizza, you haven't lived. There are two of the best pizza parlors in the country all within just a few minutes walking so of each other. Pepe's and Sally's are both on Wooster Street, New Haven's version of Little Italy.... It is with a heavy heart, and in deference to our dearly departed Flo Consiglio that I write this. Back in the late 80s a New Haven native and new employer introduced me to Sally's and my life was never the same . I lived over by Danbury (CT) - about an hour away but that never kept me from... Of all three Classic New Haven pizza's, Sally's is a hands down winner: with favors from subtle and mellow to zesty and spicy, the experience is powerful and fresh every time. Have traveled in Italy extensively and not had better pies than Sally's white clam with garlic and the red tomato with garlic - both are out of this world.... More

Have eaten here once in the past. Pizza is good. Tried ordering take out today: called once to check they actually do let you order take out, which they confirmed they did. Had not decided what I wanted, so told them I'd call back. 10 minutes later, I called again; the same female employee picks up and says they do... More

Same atmosphere from many years ago, great pizza and the staff was very friendly (more friendly than years ago). Great to have my pizza fix when visiting from Chicago and a good alternative to Frank Pepe (which is also very good).

Being a Frank Pepe fan we were going to go for a quick bite before dropping off at the train but the line at 3:30 pm in the rain was way too long. Walked down the block to the corner where Sally's had 2 open booths and our party of 5 sat and order 3 pies. small pepperoni w/o mozzarella,... More

We came here after the line at Frank Pepe's was far too long and I'm glad we did. The restaurant had a homestyle feel to it and the food was amazing. The service is not 5 star but it doesn't need to be. The menu is simple, the prices are great and the food speaks for itself. Definitely recommend the... More
