Black bean soup a must!

Great spot for lunch or breakfast, great service, tasty fresh food! Reasonably priced, I'm willing to say they have the best black bean soup in town, the fresh bread is amazing! Wish they had better coffee.

Atticus is a cozy place to go to grab something small to eat but, the menu is not that extensive so there is not a lot to choose from. Because of that make sure to read the menu before you go.

This is a warm, lovely place to sit, eat, have a cup of coffee or a good home cooked comfort meal that is affordable. The book store is enjoyable to look through and has a good range of books, cards, stationary, children's books and toys. A very friendly place with good vibes.

If you live in Connecticut and only watch the evening news, you might shy away from New Haven, because it sounds a little dangerous. But then I had a Connecticut friend who told me living in Manchester, CT (where I now live) was dangerous. There are tough areas everywhere, but my trip to New Haven was delightful. This little gem... More

Consistently good food food in a unique setting. A wonderful bookstore with very good cafe food. Don't miss the black bean soup, it is one of the best you will ever have! The turkey club is also exceptional! It has been around for years and it is a don't miss experience when visiting New Haven.

Had my daily breakfast at Atticus this time since it is close to my hotel. Each item on the menu that i tried were superbly tasteful and attractively presented. The servers are friendly and very attentive.

We enjoyed brunch on Sunday at Atticus. This was the day after the Yale vs Harvard football game. Town was still populated with folks before the Thanksgiving holiday break. We cruised the book store during a short wait for a table. The four of us enjoyed a combination of breakfast and lunch choices after starting with coffee and fresh fruit.... More

Great place for lunch. We had the club sandwich and tomato soup. Both were excellent. Freshly prepared. This is an interesting lunch spot, located inside an bookstore.

Best place for coffee and a scone and a good read. I was so glad to find that they has not been consumed by the giant booksellers or the giant coffee sellers!

We had a few minutes to kill before visiting the Yale Art Gallery (right across the street) and so we popped in here for a bit. I'm so glad we did! It was really adorable and had a lot of delicious coffee and baked goods.
