EXCELLENT FOOD

Had dinner at Oaxaca last evening before the Beach Boys Concert. The three enchilada platter was fabulous! My only critique is it was too much food and since we were going to a show we could not take leftovers. My suggestion would be for the Chef to take a look at his menu and incorporate some... read more

Am suppressed still in business. Bad service and poor excuse for Mexican food. Drinks were okay and was there for Cinco De Mayo last year. Will never go again. I cannot go back to May of 20014 when last there.

Stopped here for dinner on our first night in New Haven. Served very quickly and chose a few different things. Slight mix-up with what we were brought but nothing to worry about and the wait staff were lovely and sorted things without any hassle to us. Margarita packed a punch. Generous portions, fresh and delicious.

No taste at all. Nothing else to say. If you are in the mood for fun with friends, go somewhere else. It is not very often that I am disapointed like that by a restaurant.

Enjoyed sitting at the bar after the New Haven Flights of Fancy event. My beef taco was excellent and I enjoyed the chips/salsa. Each time I go I get the tres leche cake but this time the cake was NOT the same. The cake was dry and the moisture from the various milks was not there either. I was disappointed.

This was my first time eating Mexican styled enchiladas etc etc.. I mUST say they were Soooo good. The restaurant is oddly laid out so the visually impaired would need a bit of assistance getting around if you're seated down the back. The servers on the night we were there seemed a bit rushed.. perhaps someone didn't make their shift.... More

Start with the chips & salsa: the chips had a slight kick to them, the salsa more so, and the guacamole was both plentiful and mild....DELICIOUS together. All four of our dishes were superb and authentic (NO Tex-Mex here). Extremely generous portions, and the rice and beans were beautifully arranged on the dish. The walls behind the tables were of... I am so disappointed in this experience, especially knowing that the owner of the restaurant owns Thali Indian Restaurants. There is a significant lack of ambiance, it took more than 15 minutes to receive water let alone anyone to take our order. The waiter was also serving as the bar tender! Pleasant and friendly staff but they seemed pretty clueless.... More

Terrific guacamole and sauces, and some of the best margaritas I've ever tasted! Nice décor - will be returning for a meal in the future.
