Totally vegetarian, and lots of vegan options. Surprised there weren't more people there, but it is tucked away in a little spot behind the Yale University bookstore. We ate primarily northern Indian food -- great eggplant and okra dishes, but the aloo gobi was of the dry variety. Lots of food. In fact, our server talked us out of getting... More

So, we were looking for a place to find a place with really good and authentic tasting Baigan Bharta, funny, it may sound, we tried it at a couple of other indian restaurants before reaching here, actually not, we started here... and Ya, it tasted like Pao Bhajji, The place otherwise seems to be good and other stuff on the... My family and I came here for lunch and sat outside. It was very cozy--just off the beaten path by the Yale Bookstore. The waiter was very friendly, and the food was very very inexpensive. We ordered a variety of food, but to summarize, everything is made with very basic ingredients and to a true foodie maybe the flavors are... More

While looking for a spot with outdoor dining, we happened upon at little pathway behind the Apple store and found the tucked away Thali Too-- a vegetarian version of the popular Thali which operates in New Haven's 9th square. It proved to be the perfect place for summer drinks and appetizers on a lovely July afternoon. Great, friendly service and... More

This is one of my favorite restaurants in New Haven. Their food is only vegetarian. All their breads are fantastic. I personally love their Bagara Baigan (the eggplant entree). A pleasant surprise also their cardamom and rose ice cream. Great relation quality price. Try to go for a Sunday brunch!

I decided to try a Cocktail simply because it was described as Faithfully Ginger - and I love ginger in all forms. To eat, I settled on a Masala Dosa. I ordered a bottle of sparking water - but they only had large bottles. The cocktail was absolutely dreadful and really bad value. It came in one of those glasses... More

Thali Too is one of our favorite spots in New Haven. We love the food & atmosphere there. It's an Indian restaurant with a vegetarian menu so if you're craving meat not the best place to go! We love Thali Too because of the excellent & flavorful food selection - we love Masala Dosa or Deans Dosa, Medhu Vada, Masala... More

I am a student who lives directly across from Thali Too and have found them to be a real boon over the past years. Their food is wonderful and their prices getting higher, but what can one do.... Unfortunately, service has become so unbearably bad that I stopped going. The servers are sullen, slow, and don't take responsibility for the... More

We went to eat on Sunday night. In the middle of the dinner we decided to place an order for take out for one of our family member. The waiter tells us that kitchen is closed. We were not notified that kitchen will be closing, specially because their hours specify dinner till 9:30 pm on Sunday and it was only... More
