If you like cheese, this is your trap. The food is excellent and very fun. The service is wonderful. Make sure you make reservations. Close to Peabody Museum. Plan for a lunch after a visit with the dinosaurs.

I have always wanted to dine here after reading about it . I read an article in the Hartford Courant about the charcuterie plate. I was able to secure a last minute reservation which proved to be my lucky day! We sat in The bar area and had a FANTASTIC waitress Sarah. She is knowledgable and attentive . The food... More

Very nice atmosphere, even though it can get really crowded and busy especially at night. Service is usually very good, with waiters going over menu items very carefully (sometimes even a bit too much). They have limited outdoor seating, which is nice but on a fairly busy intersection. The underground tables are a bit dark and not very large and... More

I have dined many times at Caseus, and I would love to give it five stars, but at least 1/3 of the dining experiences left my partner and I quite disappointed! They FREQUENTLY run out of menu items. This has happened to us quite a few times. Other times, the food has just been sub par, to say the least.... More

I have never had a bad meal at Caseus. Whether for lunch or dinner, everything is tasty and beautifully prepared. Of course the cheeses can't be beat, but neither can anything else! New Haven has a fantastic food culture, and Caseus is right up there with the best.

I recently moved away from New Haven and salivate frequently about the fairly affordable and BEYOND incredible meals and beers I treated myself to at Caseus on occasion. If you are anywhere in a 100-mile radius, GO THERE.

Going to Caseus feels like you transported to somewhere in old Europe. I actually like sitting downstairs next to the cheese shop, in what feels like a wine cellar, because it helps you to forget where it is that you're experiencing this meal (nothing against New Haven, I'm a big fan). I've been here several times and will continue to... More

I have been following them on Facebook for the longest time and I finally got to go. Reservations recommended even for lunch. Went with friends. Small place but efficient seating. Cozy but not too tight. Staff was amazing and knowledgeable. Sitting near the kitchen, there was not one dish that didn't look amazing. Great beer and wine list for their... More

I went here with my wife and another couple, while staying with a family member and I have to say, it was probably the worst service I have ever come across. My waiter Anthony was rude and had an attitude answering any questions we had. When my wife received the wrong salad, he argued saying that he write down exactly... More
