Fresh,Comfortable and Consistant!

Never a disappointing experience when dining here! The warm welcome, the local feel and fresh food keeps my family coming back. Freshly baked bread (yes, baked on the premises) a lovely wine list and daily dinner specials that are out of this world, I could eat there five nights a week! Farm to... read more

Very tasty (I had a garden salad & an excellent Pork Chop). Good wine and beer collection. I've consistently heard good things about Farmer's Table. A little overpriced. My only 'knock' is that it's quite noisy, hard to have a conversation across the table, and last night was very hot inside the restaurant. Perhaps, it would have been more pleasant... More

This understated restaurant was a pleasure to dine in for my birthday with a friend. The young waiter highly recommended the shrimp tacos when asked, and I was not disappointed one single bit! Paired with a lovely salad, I inhaled the a delicious meal. The ambiance is relaxing in that it is a spacious layout without excessive background noise. A... More

This is my new favorite place to eat for seafood in Fairfield County. The mojo sauce (garlic and lime) on the sea bass (thanks to sever Julie for recommending) and the shrimp with mojo sauce are great dishes. Love the casual vibe and open kitchen (where all the chefs are smiling). The best table is the window table next to... More

Farmer's Table was great in its first location. It was original, convivial, had friendly service and truly great simple food. This was my second visit to the new location (across the street) and on both occasions I found that it had lost its charm. However, this time the food was frankly humdrum and the service staff was either tired or... More

It is easy to believe that everything served was just brought in from the farm. The seafood chowder was full of vegetables and crab and shrimp. It had just a hint of spiciness. The lentil soup with chorizos, also with a hint of spiciness, was just as great. The brown rice stir fry was loaded with fresh broccoli, cauliflower, celery,... More

It is good to know that the Farmer's Table can seat more guests. It is not good news to withstand the noise of the place. It is not clear if this is due to the increase in diners or poor acoustics, I could not hear my fellow diner right across the table. It now has a liquor license and offers... More

The Farmer's Table began life as a 12-14 seat restaurant and market on Forest Street in a tiny space with a teensy dining room, a teensy kitchen and absolutely amazing food. Owner Chef Robert Ubaldo and his wife were a bit reluctant to start their own place, him having earned his chops at Southwest Cafe in Ridgefield and Tequila Mockingbird,... More

This small restaurant is very enjoyable, IF you go early before it gets really busy. When it fills up, the noise is deafening. We greatly enjoyed the black bean soup, but the sautéed mushrooms were under seasoned in the baked goat cheese and mushroom appetizer. The cheese plate was very generous, with at least 5 different cheeses, but the waiter... More
