My wife and I had dinner here with friends on a recent Saturday night. In general, I would have to say that most of the dishes we had were quite good but there were a few notable exceptions. My wife enjoyed her salad and I enjoyed my butternut squash soup. Two of us had the shrimp mojo and that was... More

Be prepared for good food served by friendly staff with everyone around you talking loudly. Our group of four had difficulty hearing each other as the acoustics are simply awful. Having said that we enjoyed their pork Tacos, lamb and grilled shrimp salad. Their home made bread is excellent. We wanted dessert but the noise was too high to linger... More

My husband and I walked around New Canaan and we decided we would try Farmer's Table. We saw the hostess (or perhaps an owner, not sure, an older woman) and she advised us the restaurant was full but if we were brave, we were more than welcome to take an outside table. It was just a little chilly but totally... More

The food was delicious and our group favorites were the mushroom soup, spinach salad, and the shrimp mojo. Key lime pie was excellent. The service was also very attentive and the dinner was well paced. Our only complaints were that the corkage fee was very high at $15.00 per bottle no matter how many bottles they opened for you, it... More

Our waitstaff was friendly and our food came in a timely manner. On a Saturday night we managed to dine without feeling rushed, something that is always a pleasure. Our ingredient were fresh and the menu was creative. I particularly enjoyed the many vegetarian offerings. We will certainly be back.

Back in Fairfield county for a visit with our son, my wife and I had intended a return visit to our long favorite French restaurant in Wilton. Unfortunately Bon Appetit closed in July. Bummer; we are really going to miss that little gem. However, with that behind us we turned to TripAdvisor for inspiration and decided on Farmer's Table in... More

Amazing food, amazing service, amazing atmosphere. Food is made with fresh ingredients and you can feel it. We ordered the specials and they were amazing. A must go in New Canaan.

We were in New Canaan for just a day, and the reviews made this our first choice. We had no problem getting early reservations for Saturday dinner and were able to sit outside, where a handful of restaurants with outdoor seating make it seem a bit like a stretch of Quebec City. The quality and presentation of the food were... More

This has been our favorite restaurant since they opened. We were a little worried when they moved to the larger space across the street, as the tiny storefront was so completely charming. However, our worries were squelched when we at there 2 weeks ago. Lucia continues to run a special place without forfeiting the charm for a larger space. The... More
