I made yet another visit to Kasia's this past week and picked up a few favorites and 2 individual servings of lasagna. The lasagna was anything but traditional yet it tasted wonderful when reheated for our dinner. Dessert later in the evening was individual portions of tiramisu that melted in our mouths. We stopped in this bakery after eating at Cracovia, right down the street. We only got the daily special - cheese babka, and a donut. The donut was good, the babka was great. Very moist, with a tunnel of cheese through it, and a very flavorful glaze on top. The top also had raisins and sweet crumbs on it. So... More

My wife and I just happened to be in the neighborhood (AGAIN) so we stopped in and purchased a large piece of coconut, cream and pineapple cake. The cake was very good though not as light as expected. We also purchased and, later shared, a lobster tail which was more crust and less filling than we would have preferred.

Lots of delicious Polish pastries and breads. Rye bread was crusty on the outside but moist and fresh inside. Lighter density rye bread than found in most stores. Very small shop, but friendly Polish and English speaking women. Will go back again!

How dumb is this? Next time you get a hankering for a tiramisu, there is no reason to travel to Franklin Avenue because Kasia's rendition is... More

this is a hands on polish female owned bakery where everything is made from scratch but is never too sweet or powdery or such - excellent pastries - i (assume) she uses cocoas or coffee flavors in lots of her pastries - just simply light and delicious mouth watery baked goods and at very reasonable prices - she also stocks... this place brings back childhood memories, going with my mom who has since passed. when you walk in, it's like you're really in Poland. they have great rye bread and many other breads and pastries and desserts. they also have a few shelves of imported goods. it's a family tradition to go there at Easter time, now with my grandsons....
