Wow, can't believe the reviews. My wife and I have stopped here for over 10 years from time to time. Always loving the hot dogs and thinking they were the best around. Today on the way back from the beach, we had some time to kill and thought it's been a year or two since we were there, lets go... More

These are the hotdogs I used to go to Capitol Lunch for late at night while I was in high school . They were great then and they are still great! The special hotdog sauce is amazing! My favorite is mustard onion and coney sauce. The service is super fast. It's a hotdog joint so don't set high expectations in... More

Capitol lunch is worth a detour to have their dogs with the special sauce. Get in line, order and pay and your dogs are soon on their way to being savored. Go ahead and order one more than you think you'll eat - it will save you time going back. Make sure you have plenty of napkins - it's delightfully... More

Great hot dogs at a bargain price, get 3 or 4, you'll be glad you did. This place is known far and wide, people I know travel from an hour away just for their dogs.

There a few things in life you can do over and over again without someone trying to change it. Capitol Lunch thankfully does not mess with success. Same great chili dog I got as a kid over 40 years ago. Its worth the trip!!

Dog specials are what to get. Mustard, Onions and Sauce. The menu is short but solid. It's a great lunch spot, always full of locals so get there early before you get caught in line for a while. Not the best dog I have ever had but definitely a great one. The staff is very fast and to the point.... More

It is like stepping back in time...a few things on the menu above where you order. We ordered two Hot Dogs each (comes with mustard, onions and meat sauce). It hit the spot for a quick bite. Very nice to "check of the list" of places you should eat in CT. (at least from what I heard). They do not... More

You can't beat a Cappy dog. First off, it's not chili so if you go in with that expectation you will probably be disappointed. Service is incredibly fast; a total no frills place. Wait in line, move along, and try to find a seat. They have fries and burgers too, but the dogs are where it's at. It is not... More

The rule here is a dog with everthing. They are famous for their sauce. You can also get a cheeseburger with the famous sauce. This a a no frills place. People come and come again for the dogs. The service is fast. The hot dogs are made locally only a few blocks away.
