After encountering massive wait times at other bars/restaurants I decided to give Azu a try. What a find! Hands down the best happy hour in the area. Despite being packed we were easily seated and promptly served by our very cheery server. The draft beer and appetizers were very good and reasonably priced. One thing that really impressed me the... Walking along Main Street in Mystic on a very cold November evening, my husband and I could not make up our minds where to eat. We decided to try Azu, with its upscale, crisply contemporary décor. The hostess welcomed us warmly and showed us to a pleasant window table without us having to ask. Our server was adorably hospitable and... More

Attentive, up-beat staff, great food and terrific value in a great downtown setting! Happy Hour is the best in town with $2.50 pints, including Cotrell and Guinnes, 7 days per week! Their $5.00 happy hour menu is outstanding! This is one of my very favorites!

We received a gift certificate so we tried it on a Saturday, early evening after the Summer tourist season had ended, with no reservations we were seated by the window immediately. The table was in the area that accompanies the bar,its barely big enough for a drink and a plate and is stuffed against the wall across from one just like... More

I'm fairly certain you can buy Azu's every dish pre made at a Costco, Sams, or a public school cafeteria. The entire place smells like fish sticks. The bar smells like fish sticks. I do not like fish sticks and whisky unless I'm pretending to be some sort of disgusting mad scientist who would combine the taste of wonderful, delicious... More

We stopped here around 430 .. The have happy hour specials between 4-6 and the prices are incredible. We each had chicken pasta soup, 6.00 a bowl(not included in happy hour specials) but delicious and homemade so well worth it. I had a flatbread pizza and my husband has the pulled pork sliders with a side of fries. Each of... More

This seemed like the only breakfast spot open in downtown Mystic. Very good breakfast with generous portions. Only downer was the decor was a little boring & could use a clean.

We stopped in Old Mystic to walk around on a beautiful Monday afternoon in September. We stopped in Azu for a cocktail. We decided to get a couple of margaritas. They were good. We didn't get anything to eat. The restaurant was child-friendly (the only 2 tables occupied had kids). We enjoyed the open air from the front of the... More

We were strolling through Mystic and asked the local vendors where to eat and all 3 suggested Azu for happy hour from 3 to 6 everyday. You can sit at one of many tables in the restaurant, not limited to a small bar, and the wines & beers are 1/2 price. The appetizers are really "mini meals" and very generous... More
