This was fun. Stop at a seafood/ice cream stand, sit and eat your food at a shaded picnic table overlooking water (and the railroad, which is not "too" close by). Wonderful, excellent and fresh food, Our party ate clam strip roll, sweet potato fries, full-bellied clams, and crabcakes. We all left happy and eager for a return trip. Food is... More

I return here often with my family every year as soon as it opens for the season! Usually order a foot long hot dog with fries, sometimes a shake, and who can resist a ice cream cone for dessert? The food is always hot and fresh. Employees are ALWAYS friendly and helpful to everyone. Food orders are quick! There is... More

I have been here several times, mostly because of convenience. It's a challenge to find a clam in the clam fritters. The fried clams are okay, but portions are small for the price they charge. If you want really great fried clams, try the Pizza Palace in Old Saybrook..Big Portions, comes won a big platter with fries, and thin delicious onion rings. If your disappointed with all... More

Closed in the winter but opens in April for the summer season. Best fried clams around! Great take out food. Hard and soft swirl ice cream to top off your meal!

Old fashioned New England drive-in (walk-up.) Good clams but expensive. Still, a required vacation experience.

Just ate there yesterday the last day of our trip. We got there late, five minutes before closing but they still served us a great meal. Scallops were great, shrimp amazing and fish and chips really good. The fries could use some upgrading to match the rest of the food. The people working there were great staying late to make... More

This is your traditional simple clam shack along the shoreline. Although it does not really have a full sea view (There is a tarp-covered seating area by the inlet across the carpark), it more than makes up for it by serving fried-to-order fresh thick cod sandwiches and other seafood. Fries are ho-hum but that's not what people come here for.... More

drove 5 hours from Maine because we lived here for over 25 years and wanted some great seafood. NOPE. Clam Fritters were hard and burned, clams were soggy and cold, and fried mushrooms were hard. When I told the lady that worked at the window she said I was the second person today who said that the clams were soggy.... More

Like the Sea View, this place does nothing for me, at all. We're from VA and have just concluded a week in CT & ME eating mostly at shacks, pounds, and stands and this place just doesn't cut it in my view. The fried scallops were mushy and oily and the fish just okay. We may have hit them at... More
