Good food and a great salad bar

Went to the Steak Loft for a birthday dinner celebration - 9 of us in all. The place has been around for decades - so it is well known to all the locals. The interior has a rustic look which I enjoy - and the bar area is nice and open - and they serve a slightly different menu in... read more

We came with four adults and four children (under six). If you are expecting to have steak for lunch, do not come here. There is only one steak on the lunch menu... At the STEAK Loft. The food in general was OK, but I would not recommend it at all. I ordered my Burger medium, it came well done and... More

The menu was varied. The prices were reasonable. The food was hot and the selection at the salad bar had a wide variety of choices. The service was excellent. All of the staff were hospitable.

The Steak Loft, usually with a fairly filled parking lot, astounds me with its popularity. It's like the restaurants visited during some bus trip - outdated, menu harkening back to the 70s, a salad bar of the type popular 20 years ago. The menu (as well as the salad bar) offers little in the way of nutritional dietary consideration. There... More

Sadly, this once fine restaurant is a shell of itself. While it was once a fine place to dine, quality food with good ambiance, it is no longer. The appetizer we ordered, potato skins, were burnt to a crisp. My burger arrived cold and utterly flavorless (the table next to ours also sent back a burger that arrived cold) and... More

I was not impressed with any part of my meal. I had the stuffed shrimp(friday during lent) and found the shrimp to be overcooked and the stuffing was lackluster and flavorless. My stepdaughter loved her fried shrimp. Fish and chips for my stepson, he did not enjoy it at all. He found the batter much too thick and oily. The salad... More

Ate lunch here for the first time in many years. The inside still looks the same. Luckily the motif is rustic or else the whole place would look very, very in need of maintenance. The service was very good as were the hostesses. However, the food left a lot to be desired. I had the tuna melt with a side... More

chose the house big steak special for that evening - 16 oz top sirloin - well, it was huge - perfectly medium rare, tender, delicious - the accompanying twice baked potato was excellent, too - our waitress was also terrific - would not hesitate to go there again.
