Grinders made to order the way a grinder should be made! Fresh bread and daily specials. Located across the street from the Packer Bldg next to the Mystic Train Station.

You have to look for this place but once you find it, it will be worth your search. It's small, is CASH ONLY, NO CREDIT CARDS but the sandwiches are outstanding. One little known fact is on Fridays, they make meatball subs. You should call ahead to reserve them because they usually run out of the meatballs a little after... More

I have been going here for many years and they have excellent grinders. They are so much tastier with shredded cabbage so I order mine with that. My daughter loves the pasta salad and has been asking for it since five years old. She is now a college graduate who comes home occasionally and still requests that I we stop... More

I have had many grinders but this tops them all. The bread is nice and crusty and the rest is awesome, too. They are only open until they are out of bread so in the summer you better get an early start.

They are so big we usually split one. The grinder rolls they use are wonderfully crusty. They fill it up with meat, shredded lettuce or cabbage, tomatoes, cheese and oil or mayo. It's only take out, and it pays to call ahead. You can buy cold drinks and chips there, too. Pick it up and head out on your boat.

First, the bread is crunchy outside, clod like inside. The meat plentiful. Ask for cabbage instead of lettuce. No tables inside. Carry out. But find a dock, or scenic road to savor the best sub sandwich you've had in awhile.

BEST "grinders" around. Get the large, cabbage, Genoa with oil,pepper/salt , hot crushed peppers. @ $9.50 but enough for two. For the uninitiated.."grinder" is an upscale "hoagie".."sub"...etc. Great bread, tomatoes fresh, etc. Check the hours,,only open from @ 10/11 am to @ 3pm.

If you want fresh high quality ingredients in your grinder, Pasta Fresca is your kind of place. The portions are huge-I can't recommend this place more strongly.
