Feels like a seaport pub and restaurant. The clam chowder is a must try, the best ever. nIce menu choice will satisfy anymore. Go downstairs for quaint pub dinning.

We went to CDPI based on the Tripadvisor ratings. The presentation was fine but the food was so inexpertly cooked that we couldn't finish. Salad was treacly sweet. Fish special was dry and overcooked. The menu seamed as if a chef prepared it but the food did not seam to have been cooked by anyone with any expertise.

Great food, exceptional old style New England bar. Reservations are always a good idea. Gets crowded on the weekends. Great menu with moderate to high pricing.

Stepped in while passing through to warm up and try local lunch. Glad we did, as service was great, and food really hit the spot. Had the greatest bowl of clam chowder ever and grilled Cajun oysters. Sat at the bar with the fireplace blazing, as all tables were taken. Great waitress and wonderful time. Will definitely return if ever... More

We've been here a few times and we've always had a good experience. There is a great pub downstairs where you can grab a bite to eat. It's small but loaded with character since it maintains so many of the original elements of the old building. Upstairs is a more refined setting best for dinner or special occasions. The food... I never come to Mystic without at least getting a drink at DPI. Wednesdays are our favorite though, because we get to saddle up in a booth in the basement bar and listen to James Harris. Between taking request and busting balls with the locals, it's one entertaining night.

If anything, check it out for the history, most people don't know but this is the original DPI (what the locals call it) going back to the 1700's, it was used as an Inn and own by Mr. Packard (former Capt on full rigged ships). The fireplace is original and lots of architecture back in the time (just look up... More

Loved this place. Food and service was wonderful. Had the Lobster Ravioli, it was fresh and flavorful. The superstar was the desert called "Xango" which was fried banana cheesecake wrapped in tortilla with cinnamon sugar that was kinda like a churro, truly amazing!

Always great food and service! Had dinner there to celebrate our son's birthday and they had the dessert and candle ready to surprise him! Great place to celebrate any occasion!
