The food was really good. The atmosphere was nice with fireplaces and dim lighting and the service was great. We would definitely go back.

A last minute trip to Mystic left us looking for lunch, and the downstairs tavern at Captain Daniel Packer Inne turned out to be the perfect place. We loved the cozy, colonial feel of the tavern atmosphere and pub style dining area with a bar and small tables/booths around the fireplace. They have a good selection of beers, bottled and... More

I recently moved to Groton and I needed somewhere to take my mom for dinner. We decided on Captain Daniel Packer Inne based on the TripAdvisor reviews and it didn't disappoint. We accidentally got there during the hour they're not open. They stop serving lunch at 4pm and don't start serving dinner until 5pm, so plan accordingly. We knew it... More

Whether dining with another or a few friends, Capt. Daniel Packer Inne is always a favorite place for a delicious meal and cozy atmosphere, especially in the winter time as their rooms all seem to have a fireplace close by. I especially enjoy their Pumpkin bisque as an appetizer, so rich and creamy, it's like having dessert before the main... More

I visited DPI last week while vacationing in Mystic. I did not dine upstairs, I went downstairs where the bar is. It's a small area full of life and a nice staff. There's a full menu, great drinks and to me it felt like the kind of place that if I lived there, I'd meet my friends after work for... More

We arrived on a Friday night in the off season and asked for table availability. Since it was off season we were fortunate to get seated immediately in the restaurant section. I had the chicken with boar sausage which was excellent - my wife had the petite filet which was not only excellent but prepared according to my wife's wishes.... More
