Saved our night!

After a terrible experience at s&p oyster, our inn called over and asked if dpi could get us in right away. Not only did they accommodate us, they made us feel special. They made a point to make up for someone else's mistake which is a true sign of a reputable establishment. Not only did they go... read more

Our family enj oyed Easter dinner at the Daniel Packer Inn last month. The inn has a colonial New England atmosphere and the service is friendly and efficient. The stuffed mushroom appetizer was absolutely delicious as was the strawberry shortcake dessert. The main course of lamb is osso bucco was only so so. I would have to give the restaurant... More

We love the DPI especially in the winter with its cozy fireplace. Downstairs is great for casual dining.

The Pub is a great place to eat - ambiance in the winter with a fireplace, a very old tavern that is just a great place to eat. The food is excellent, wait staff awesome, it's a place where you can go and mingle with the locals. They do have dining upstairs and if you are a big party, that's... More

My boyfriend and I took an overnight trip to Mystic from Massachusetts and we're looking to have a romantic dinner. We got the calamari first and it was fabulous. It wa a tossed in a cream sauce, which I had never had that way but it was great! After not being able to decide on what entree to get, we... More

This was a cozy experience. The service was quick, the food tasty and adequate. Recommended - no regrets. There were too many flies inside, though; the server said it had to do with the time of the year, but I don't buy it - I'd say they have some work to do with pest control; it can and ought to... Built on the shores of the Mystic River in colonial times, the Inne offers a tavern atmosphere downstairs and a formal rustic dining room upstairs. We had dinner with a friend upstairs. A very complete menu (including gluten-free selections) was complimented by tempting specials. I had the swordfish special served with a butter-sauce and fiddleheads; it was delicious and the... The Daniel Packer in has a nice restaurant upstairs and a bar/restaurant downstairs. All the help are very nice and serve great food. I think it's really a bar atmosphere downstairs which makes it nice when they have live music. All in a very historic town.

My wife and I went to the Daniel Parker for the "pub lunch." We had high expectations, given the inn's reviews and prices. We enjoyed our visit, but the restaurant did not quite live up to its billing. The decor is quintessential old New England. It was attractive, but things were just a bit shopworn in spots. The service was... More

A group of us met at the Daniel Packer Inne on a very rainy day for lunch. We were surprised to find it very crowded and we had a wait of a half hour or so which passed quickly as the bar tender explained some light drink options which pleased the younger members of our group. When we were given... More
