We were looking for a restaurant with a fireplace to have dinner and DPI was recommended by a local. It's rustic charm was a nice setting for a delicious meal. We enjoyed a lobster appetizer and the seafood Fruit de mer. There are several fireplaces throughout the restaurant which makes the atmosphere cozy and warm on a cold winter night.... More

Our second trip to Mystic just HAD to include our second meal here. You will not be disappointed! Snow mounds made parking a little difficult, but well worth the minor inconvenience! Highly recommend!

We visited on President's Day. It was cold and snowy but we wanted a short trip from our home in CT just for the day. Our last stop was DPI for something to eat and drink. We ate in the tavern at the bar. It couldn't have been more perfect. After a day thinking about what it must have been... More

The DPI as the locals call it, was recommended to us by a friend who has docked his boats in Mystic for years. In the late fall, we attempted to garb a drink and some apps in the pub but it was packed with a 45 minute wait which we opted to pass on. Today we stopped for lunch, a... More

This is our "go to" restaurant. The food is always fresh and well prepared. The staff is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. One of my favorite dishes is the scallops in truffle sauce. The DPI salad with blackened salmon on it is what I order the most. We live locally and always have a great experience... More

My wife and I had the opportunity to have dinner at the Captain Daniel Packer Inn while in Mystic. Deciding to eat in the pub area instead of the dining room area we found ourselves in a rustic room with a fireplace and bar. There were enough tables to accommodate about 25 people comfortably. At first glance the room looked... More

This is a favorite of mine. Atmosphere is rustic chic with beautifully housed wines, mariner theme appropriately so and romantic fireplaces. Food never disappoints and the Xango desert is not to be missed!
