We ate in the pub downstairs and it was simply perfect. The atmosphere was friendly (we needed a table for four and two folks switched tables so that we could sit down immediately), the wait staff was really nice, and the other diners were chatty. It was like eating in a big family! The food (took a while) was excellent.... More

My Dad and I ended up staying in Mystic randomly for business and consulted trip advisor for a good place to eat dinner before we got back on the road the following day. The restaurant was gorgeously set right by the river and felt like it was built in the 1700s. We ate in the pub area, very cozily set... More

The pub was cool looking, but I thought the food was average. I really thought the food was going to be excellent based on the reviews. I ordered a portabello mushroom, which was good, and the truffle fries. I have them maybe every couple of years as a treat, and they had no flavor of truffle at all. It was... More

Quiet Late Lunch - food was fabulous. Two awesome salads, the baked cod, fried cod, and baked bomster scallops were delicious! The wait staff was super friendly.

Attracted by the classification in TA I booked a table in Captain's. Crowded, noisy, mostly families. Slow but kind service, and the food was correct. Nothing else.

I can honestly say I have never had a bad meal here. The service and food have always been impeccable!!!! We just had a large party (28) for an anniversary dinner and it was AMAZING! The best food in the area (especially the peppercorn encrusted steak) hands down! Kudos to Allie, Tayla, Joe and Chaz for making our night so... More

We always try to dine at Inn establishments because we think they always put the best foot forward, quiet atmosphere, romantic ambience and upscale dinners. Because this was called an inn, we thought that was what we were getting. Basically it's a regular restaurant that is called an inn. It was loud because it is located in a tourist town... More

In all my travels.... I love DPI. I first found this establishment when I was attending the Coast Guard Academy. I would frequently go to happy hour in the basement. Their peppercorn steak is heavenly. Anytime I am every within 45 mins of this location, I make it a point to go here, even if it is for lunch. If... More

We've eaten here several times and you would think they would have their act together by now. The so-called maitre'd dressed in khaki slacks and sweater - and unattentive! Are you KIDING??? And for a so-called old-house - the atmosphere was minimal. So much more can be done with the place, but I guess they choose not to! Look elsewhere... More

My family and I went to dinner at the DPI on Saturday, September 27, 2014. We ate in the Pub, which is small and can be a little loud with the folks sitting at the bar getting drunk deafness. This was ok with us, as this is to be expected when you dine in the bar of ANY restaurant. Our... More
