Oyster Club is a casual fine dining restaurant and raw bar specializing in the richness of the New England coast and countryside. The menu, which is written daily, showcases food that travels the shortest distance from 'farm & sea to table,' with seasonality and location determining the day's delicacies. Benefiting from the region's many local farmers and fisherman, Oyster Club features bounty from the sea, pasture raised beef, local produce and artisanal cheeses. It seems from other reviews that Oyster Club might be hit or miss, but the night I went it was a huge hit. Had scallops in beef dashi that were amazing, then a lightly breaded fluke that was equally great. Plus the space is lovely and cozy, perfect for a below freezing winter night. I lived in Mystic for years, and had to make do with restaurants that were decent but nothing outstanding. But now that the Oyster Club is here, I can routinely have the kind of meal where you savor every bite. Their muscles are truly amazing, I've never had better. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed. I considered not writing this... More

The key word here is "fresh". Tucked in the side of a hill on a busy side street The Oyster Club is an awesome addition to the choices in Mystic, yes it is expensive but for the quality you get it is worth every penny.

I'm not truly into "sustainable" restaurants yet this one really hit the mark. Dinner was very good. Menu changes every day and the chef does some interesting things. I had a homemade spaghetti with a Bolognese style sauce that included a touch of mint/cinnamon which was delicious. My friend wasn't completely crazy about the entree selection yet the chef accommodated... More

Nice spot, lovely deck. Pricey for what is served. They use team service, which in our case meant that neither of our two servers communicated well, resulting in a poorly timed meal with one entree completely forgotten.

My partner did some research and found us this restaurant for my birthday dinner. It was outstanding - the interior of the restaurant is beautiful with dark wood paneling, beams, and soothing, tasteful lighting. The meal was incredible from start to finish, especially the veal carpaccio on a foam base that was fantastic. The ragout pasta was also outstanding. Our... More

We popped into Mystic for lunch on the way back from Newport to New York. We didn't know where to go for lunch and found this place on the web - an excellent find! It does the whole "farm and sea to table" industry proud - nice and cosy room with tables well spaced out and a really varied menu... More

If a good chowder is your thing then the excellent chowders served at the Oyster Club are a "must have"!...Couldn't decide which was better the red or the white.. ( After we raved about the white, the waitress generously brought us each a small taste of the red to compare.) The Seafood is wonderfully prepared and everything we had tasted amazingly... More

We'd heard marvelous things about Mystic Oyster Club and finally got there ourselves a few weeks ago. The atmosphere and service were perfect; casually elegant and welcoming. The waitress explained the simple menu. Each dish is created based on the freshest ingredients available on that day. The breads were lovely and the salad and dressing were outstanding. I had a...
