We've been going out after church on Sunday afternoons, because it is supposed to be a day of rest and I'm enjoying a day of not cooking. This week I had an excellent lobster sandwich with warm butter and last week I had a delicious bowl of chowder. My husband enjoyed a hot veal sandwich one week and a homemade... More

Ordered the clam chowder and crostini for apps and crispy tofu and tagliatelle dishes as entrées and Brownie with caramel sauce for dessert. Everything was fantastic! It's a little expensive but well worth it for the quality of the dish. Highly Recommend!

I had high expectations based on the reviews. First, the dining room is very pleasant and pleasingly quiet. And the breads are outstanding. On our first visit, I ordered the quahog chowder. It came in a big bowl full of big chunks of potatoes, a tasty broth with cream, and, to my surprise, only a garnish of clams. I expected... More

This place was recommended by hotel and staff and certainly didn't disappoint. After several days on a road trip eating mediocre (and sometimes downright awful!) food, this was a breath of tasty, tangy, sea air. It's a small place so you'd be best to book in advance if you can. The ambience is friendly but very customer orientated. A starter... More

The food is "farm to table" but the results are mostly average. Not bad but not exceptional. Given the prices, we expected better.

Dishes were bursting with local seasonal flavor. Pricey but in line with quality. Cozy and inviting atmosphere. Glad we made a reservation. Food was great. Right in downtown Mystic. Walkable from Steamboat Inn. Great service.

On the spur of the moment took 2 visiting friends from college to the Oyster Club. Had heard really good things about the restaurant and this was an excuse to check it out. Did not have a reservation but the staff was able to seat us in the bar after a 20 minute wait. The wait staff was excellent. The... More

Visiting The Oyster Club is always a treat. You never know what surprising combination of fresh farm and sea food will be on the menu, but you know it will be great. The bread is always fresh and delicious with whole grains. And the quahog chowder is to die for. On my most recent visit, I had a wonderful terrine... More

The Oyster Club has become one of our favorite eateries- the menu is interesting without seeming contrived, the food is marvelously fresh and abundant. We had difficulty getting reservations all summer as our plans were often not so far in the future but now that winter is on its way we've had no problems getting a table during the week.... More

Make it the bread. However, the menu will tantalize and intrigue you enough that you won't only be here for one thing! Fresh ingredients and interesting combinations make dinner excellent!
