The lobster grilled cheese is a must have and try. The cupcakes are delicious with many varieties at all times, the staff is great. Small indoor seating but plenty of seating outside beautiful area

This was the very first time that even though the tripadvisor reviews seemed great I left very disappointed. I tried the Blue Quid and my husband the "Chocolate Coconut… chocolate cake with cream cheese icing and coconut". We ate half and threw them away. According to the cupcake menue the the Blue Squid cupcake "colorful vanilla cupcake filled w/ whipped... More

It was my stepdaughter's birthday and she's on a gluten-free diet. I was pleasantly surprised that they have expanded their offerings to include gluten-free. In fact, the owner asked me to let her know how we liked the cupcake as they were using a new recipe. My stepdaughter really enjoyed the vanilla cake and the dense fudgy frosting. For the... More

Saw a great local newspaper review of their blue squid cupcake and being a cupcake fanatic, I had to try it. It did not let me down, was delicious and I loved the surprise chocolate center.

The sandwiches at Bleu Squid are delicious. The service is average, but the restaurant is close to many Mystic attractions.

Tried the double chocolate cupcake and it tastes the way chocolate cupcakes should taste! Almost nostalgic of my childhood days. We also tried the white chocolate brownies and regular brownies. both didn't go to waste as we saved them for later. Huge portions. Next time will try the grilled cheese sandwiches :) they also sell roasted Marcona almonds but tasted... More

Stopped in December and we tried two cupcakes. One chocolate with chocolate frosting, the other chocolate with vanilla frosting. The chocolate cake was moist and tasty. The vanilla frosting was delicious and complemented the chocolate cake nicely. I found the chocolate frosting to be too rich, even though that is my favorite flavor. We left them in the car and... We travel from NJ to Ma almost monthly to visit our daughter and her family. Our trip would not be complete without lunch at the Blue Squid. My husband believes the grilled cheese is the best he has every had. I often choose the homemade soup which is always delicious. For dessert we share a cupcake. What a treat! The... More

We visited Old Mystic Shops while in the area and had heard of the Bleu Squid's exceptional grilled cheese and cupcakes (what a combo, huh?) and had to give it a try. The place has limited seating, a few tables inside and a few outside. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The grilled cheese... More
