Best cupcake ever

Stopped in here for a light lunch. Boy do they pile the cheese on their famous grilled cheese! The bread is so good. Because I wanted some chocolate, I ordered the S'mores cupcake. Usually I find cupcakes dry, but this one was the best I ever had! So moist and delicious--and very unusual. My... read more

This is a small place in the little village shops next to the interstate and aquarium. Retook others advice and had the grilled cheese with lobster, I am sure I exceeded my triglyceride levels for the day , but it was worth it! I sat outside, the ducks hang out hoping for food. In case you don't know you should... More

My boyfriend is a huge baked goods fan. Yet he never had a cupcake from the Blue Squid. I was running an errand in the village and told him to go check it out while I shopped. He bought two, vanilla and almond joy. When we got home he dug into the vanilla and was in heaven. I tried it... More

I tried a vanilla cupcake with chocolate frosting. (I like cupcakes a lot; and have had them many places including good ones at the cupcake gypsy in canton and Truffles in farmington.) Here, both the cake and the frosting were not even worth eating. I am sad to say i had to throw it out.

What is better than ooey-gooey grilled cheese sandwiches on a cold spring dayiafter a long snowy winter? Bacon bleu cheese and carmelized onions were paired perfectly on sourdough bread. The chicken, sharp cheddar and apples were my favorite on multigrain bread. My complaint was the few seats available to actually sit and enjoy lunch. We took cupcakes to go and... More

Tiny bakery located in Mystic village. We come here for the lobster grilled cheese, cream cheese brownies, and cupcakes. We also have to get some cookies for our pup on the way out. The also sell fresh bread and have a nice cheese selection.

They have a whole menu of different kinds of grilled cheese sandwiches! I have my favourite that I always order and it is such a treat! Can't get a grilled cheese like that anywhere else. Also, they make AMAZING cupcakes! Super moist cake with real butter cream frosting. It's worth a trip if you're in the mood for a grilled... More

The Bleu Squid is a cheery little bakery/sandwich spot in Mystic Village. The cupcakes are unique and utterly delicious. They sell sample frosting cups which are fun too. It is our go-to place, especially in the warmer months when the outside deck is open.

I love the Bleu Squid and introduced both friends and family to its yummy goodness. They like it so much that I have friends who are passing through and will call me to say they are going to the Bleu Squid and would love to see me so long as I am willing to meet them there. I have family... More
