Ranked #53 of 81 Restaurants in Mystic
Cuisines: Hamburgers
Good for: Families with children
Description: Jake’s stands for fresh food, crafted to order while you wait, and the wait is half the fun. Watch milk shakes being made the old-fashioned way, thick and creamy with real ice cream in a blender, served in metal cups to keep them cold and flavorful. Likewise, you can see that the burgers are made to order and hearty, not “hockey pucks.” Jake’s does not serve fast food from under a heat lamp. A Jake’s burger is a satisfying meal, with all-American sides like fries and onion rings to round out your lunch or dinner. We love families stopping in, but also offer takeout. Call, fax or order on line. Check out our "Burger of the Month" and our "Shake of the Month." And don't forget, with our wide selection of shakes every day, you probably haven't had them all! Daily specials include house-made potato chips in a variety of flavors. For hot dog aficionados, nothing beats a genuine grilled dog. Should you not eat red meat, try a chicken or turkey sandwich, or a salad.

Jakes Wayback Burgers was a nice placto get a burger. It is not your typical Hamburger Patty. They make the Hanmbure right when you order it. Almost like home cooking

I tried the one in Rocky Hill a while back and it was a bomb. This one is a little cleaner, but the success ends there. Dull/gross food clueless staff and still needs a good cleaning. The menu is much too complicated.

Don't bother the place was filthy , the person working the register was sneezing into his hand then working the register lol the burger was overrated the bacon on the burger wasn't even cooked after I requested the bacon to be extra well done after pulling the bacon off the burger I took a bite into it and chomped down... My family and I have eaten at the Mystic location many times. We will have to think twice next time. We arrived at 8:30pm and order two burgers and a small fry. It took them a solid 20 minutes to fill our order and then an employee had the audacity to ask us to leave at 9:07pm! I have never... More

This restaurant is right next to several hotels in Mystic and very convenient. Unfortunately the slow service and lack of attention to detail makes it very inconvenient. The staff was completely unorganized and did not seem to know the menu at all. We asked for the "shake of the month" but they were out of coconut - one of the... More

Variety of burgers and toppings- I got a double patty, with cheese and bacon. Patties were thin, juicy and delicious. If you don't want a beef burger, they have chicken, turkey, and veggie burger options, and even a hotdog. Inside was clean, neat, and you can do takeout and there is a drive up window. Prices are reasonable.

Amazing, fresh burgers with custom fixings...and make sure you try the milkshakes! The guys working were friendly and fast and the prices are low. Cute 50's atmosphere and very cheerful.

The burgers are tasty because they cook whilst you wait so it is worth waiting for (we were hungry) since we had just arrived in Mystic . Try the turkey burger and some onion rings - they are really good and you get a nice portion of rings with the order. We loved it there.

The food is delicious, it tastes fresh and is made to order! The facility is clean and the staff was attentive. They play great oldies music and serve the food on parchment paper that looks like a newspaper! Its upscale fast food, but I would say the prices are comparable to a McDonald's meal. I would definitely come back.
