Second visit, amazing

My husband and I went there on the 15th of March. The waitress was great!!!! She was helpful and very pleasant! The fried oysters were amazing again, my husband had raw oysters and he said they were very clean and great flavor. We also had scallop dip which was good! We will go back we love it!!!!

We had wanted to visit the boathouse during the summer but never made it. We were happy to get to try it this past weekend. The decor is tastefully done in a nautical theme and there is a separate bar area if you don't want to eat in the actual restaurant. We chose the restaurant and there were more customers... More

Had a gift card so we decided to try the restaurant. It was a quiet night because of the cold weather. The server was very attentive and nice, I ordered a Tuscan salad a crock of French onion soup. The salad was very bland. The dressing tasted like it was pure olive oil. My dining companion ordered a Buffalo Chicken... More

My biggest pet peeve when dining out is having to wait – to be acknowledged when I enter a restaurant, to be handed a menu and offered a drink, or for a delayed meal. So, upon entering The Mystic Boathouse for the first time, things didn’t bode well as my husband and I stood in the entryway for about 5... More

The staff is always welcoming. Love to stop by after a day in Mystic. Don't feel rushed and food is good and reasonably priced. Love their chowder.

Being an abnormally warm day in November, we decided to bring our dog with us to the Boathouse as we usually do. When we got there, we noticed that the patio area wasn't set up but the tables/chairs were still out there. Seeing this, we asked if we could be sat outside with our dog, and the woman at the... The Boathouse is not a fancy place, but that is one of its charms. It is friendly and conveniently located, with plenty of parking, and the menu features comfortable favorites. While staying at the nearby Hilton on business, my husband and I visited around 6:30 on a rainy November night, and we had the dining room all to ourselves. The... More

The restaurant high on a hill above the Mystic shopping center and I 95 is just perfect for an early dinner, but do NOT get there too late-- for a great happy hour!! The drinks are great and the fish is fresh and perfectly cooked. We had raw oysters as well and they were also perfect, very unassuming, nice people,... More

Very convenient location! I stayed at the Holiday Inn and walked across the adjoining parking lot to this restaurant. I visited in the off season during the week and it seemed to me that most of the patrons were locals (they seemed to know each other and staff) this says something about a place to me. The staff was attentive,... More
