Every long weekend I get I drive 2 hrs to Mystic just to eat at Pita Spot. SO good, excellent quality and service. Tried some dessert this time- it was a first since usually we're full of Lala Chicken & Babaganoush (our favorites- not to be missed!!!) All three desserts were unique, unusual and delicious. Our waitress knew every detail... More

We started with two appetizers the Kibbeh $8.95 about four bites of food( very tasty) and the spinach pie $8.95 that was 4 ultra ultra mini bite sized pockets of flavorless dough and a speck of unseasoned spinach inside. Waitress was very pleasant despite messing up both entree orders. The meat I ordered was on my companions dish and the... More

Dear Rvig33752, First I'd like to thank you for visiting The Pita Spot. I would like to take this opportunity to address a couple of comments stated in your review about your experience. Just for the record, our kibbeh appetizer which is priced at $8.50 weighs in at 7ounces and is a very nice size portion for the price considering... More

Went to dinner there for my daughter's 22nd birthday. Her cousin and his girlfriend joined us. Our waitress, Lori (the ticket said Lala) was fun, knowledgeable and attentive. We all ordered drinks, appetizers and signature entrees. Since I'm a vegetarian, the menu already pointed out which dishes were and which weren't. The service, food preparation, flavors, prices and the surprise... More

This is one of my favorite hometown places to go when in the mood for Middle Eastern food. Their menu is packed with vegetarian options, with plenty of them being appetizers. I would highly suggest this, and with their little outdoor seating area, you can have falafel and soak up some sun. Highly recommend....

Recently my husband and I ate dinner at the Pita Spot. We started with several appetizers and thought the baba gannoosh was very good. We love Mediterranean food and eat it frequently. For dinner we shared the large portion of lala chicken. We both thought it was very good. However, I would have loved some vegetables to accompany it---not just... More

Dear Ellen, I read your review and realized that your expectations of the Lala chicken was more of an American style meal. This chicken recipe has been in our family for almost 50 years. It was created by my uncle Andre Lala who opened his first Lala Chicken branch in Lebanon in 1967 and has been served exactly as you... More

The food is superior to anywhere else. They put their heart and soul into the food. The LaLa Chicken is a family secret recipe and is delicious. Their humus is the best I've ever had (and that's saying a lot). The ingredients are fresh, service is always outstanding, and the food is the star. My family's fav in town.

Visiting from out of state and wanted to check out the local spots. This was a small place but very nicely decorated. We were able to see the cooking being done from our table. Service was great, very friendly, quick and offered good recommendations. We got the pita wraps. Meat was tender and good flavor. We would definitely return and... More

The Pita Spot is a Mediterranean oasis in a tiny strip mall in Mystic. It is located across the street from a paint store and a DD and next to a funeral home. Once inside you are in for a treat. The atmosphere is delightful, the wait staff professional and the food hot and delicious. I've had about half of... More

We are regulars and absolutely love the food. Hands down the best restaurant in the entire area. The owners are wonderful. Once you have dined there once you are treated like family. We just had a great Valentines dinner there. The place was impeccably decorated with roses, rose petals on the floors and tables. Low lights made for a nice... More
