I used to live nearby but moved 4 years ago. I came back to what appears to be a renovated restaurant with nice picnic tables and clean looking restaurant. I had the fried fish and chips. The fish tasted fresh and the batter was light. Overall, I thought the fish and chips were pretty good. I also ordered the Rhode... More

This place is disgusting. The food was not edible. The server was a rude guy who had a huge attitude. The drinks were 98% ice. The fried fish was not properly cooked and had a weird coat of oil on it. Do not eat here.

This restaurant has reopened after being bought out from previous owners and completely redone. No more retail fish market. They are opening an inside restaurant where the old fish counter was. Have had three experiences with them in the past weeks, none very satisfactory. Although the food selections were generally good, the wait time was much too long. Twice we... More

Not a good experience - place was empty on Labor Day Weekend Sunday, lobster bisque was thin with a fishy taste and I'm not sure there was crab in the crab cakes. Hopefully this experience was just first week being open issues.

Called in a large order on Labor Day, was told they are backup and in would take 30-45 mins. Went to p/u order after 45 minutes passed, only to wait another 20 minutes. No explanations. It took another 10 minutes to get a bill of sale and never did get a CC slip to sign. The food was not great... More

The restaurant has just re-opened under new owners after renovation, and we wanted to check it out. The wait was fairly long. Even after asking to confirm that the order was complete, we discovered, after we left, that close to half the items on our take-out order were missing. They made a very sincere effort to fix the error, but... More

Just stopped by to get some lunch. Ordered the shrimp cocktail and lobster bisque. The shrimp was small ($11.95). And the bisque had good favorable but was runny and no chunks of lobster.

This is a new owner and a newly renovated restaurant. The lines were long and it took 50 minutes from the time we placed our order to when it was ready. The order was missing several items which required waiting in line again to get someone's attention to complete the order. By the time it was filled our food was... More

I wrote a review this winter that stated the Cove Fish Market was for sale, but wait! There is a lot of activity going on in the yard at Cove. Rebuilding, painting, and the for sale sign is gone. We're hopeful it will open again. Check it out when you're in Mystic to see what's coming for the summer of... More

Sadly this place was not open for the 2013 season. The picnic tables were put out and the tarps put on the covered area in Spring 2013, but the lights were never on and the doors locked.
