Mifords hidden gem with the best seafood stew ever!

This restaurant is always a peasant surprise. I live a few towns away, so my visits are few and far between, but so worth the trip. My recent visit was for lunch on a cold February Friday. I almost thought of leaving because there was only one other table with patrons, but decided to stay because of... read more

My husband and I went for dinner on Saturday for dinner. Service was excellent. I had the salmon and my husband had the mixed grill. Both were very good. The drinks were not good. I ordered an amaretto sour which was extremely to sour and my husband ordered a sangria which was just red wine with apples in it. Will... More

I have to say my wife came up with this one after she had been here with a group for a birthday party. A Tuesday evening running errands and then dinner here. The place is quite cozy and very NYCish. The menu is small but it has a lot to offer. The tapas side has a very good variety but... More

We visited BB about 6 months ago and while the overall experience was very good we thought the entrees could have been better (for the price). This time 2 winners. I had the scallops and based on the waiter's recommendation my wife had the monkfish special. Both were great! Like the last time, service was terrific --the wait staff is... More

The food was great! I've never had such a good paella in the Tri State area! And I've been to many Spanish restaurants around New York city. The Maitre D' was very helpful. The head waiter delivered quality service. They both had lots of interesting things to say about Basque country, both on the French side and the Spanish side.... More

Beautiful atmosphere but poor service. Despite billing itself as a tapas restaurant, the entrees are far superior. Escargots is fun and different for Milford, though!

Visited twice in one week.. Once for lunch with friends and then a couples dinner on a Saturday night. Both meals were so great. Noticeably the dessert menu has as much effort as the rest of the menu. So many restaurants leave the dessert lovers hanging- not here. The desserts- all are fabulous and so hard to choose only one.... More

Tapa's were very good. I had a combined meat entree that was tasty but not spectacular. There could have been a tastier sauce and the chicken could have been sliced thinner for moisture retention. In general, the comparable restaurants in the area offer more variety and ambiance.

And I'm not overly generous with the superlatives. Check my other reviews. But the Tapas we ordered were all thought up by some culinary genius, prepared and presented perfectly, and were far made of a a far more interesting combination of ingredients than you could expect at even a high-end "normal" American restaurant. The theme was Basque, but I couldn't... More

my granddaughter and I enjoyed 3 tapas and a beautiful tasty dessert - the baked goat cheese (Picodon) grilled Squid ( my favorite) and Brussel sprouts in Béchamel sauce- all perfectly done and while I usually never order dessert I always order dessert at Bistro- blueberry custard to die for ... love the feel of the place, David the owner...
