Average Food, but Overpriced

Good atmosphere with a friendly staff. I ordered a salad and would have enjoyed salmon with it. However, they charged an extra $16 for it. I thought it to be a bit pricey. Two people, four drinks, one appetizer, two entrees = $117. It's Milford...not Greenwich.

A good place to introduce your parents to the person you will marry. Not too romantic, but quite pleasant and easy. Not too noisy. Definitely not dark or cavernous. Pretty ambiance; makes you think of something from down South, in the Carolinas or Georgia. It is always a reasonable experience. If you are bored or uncomfortable, you can look out... More

Went on a Wednesday evening with 6 others to celebrate a birthday. Called in advance for a table outside...what's better that dining outside? Arrived at 6:00 PM and were seated immediately. From there on, it was down hill. Our waitress seemed to be having a bad day. Everything seemed to be a chore. We are far from demanding and if... More

Jeffrey's always delivers delicious food with a local flavor. The selection, excellent service and prices make for a memorable evening. Ladies Night on Thursday is an added plus!

Milford Connecticut is not laden with fine dining options, so when a restaurant here bills itself as having “exceptionally creative cuisine,” while charging an average of $30.00 for an entrée, your expectations run high. Unfortunately, Jeffery’s fails on all levels to deliver a fine dining experience. Let’s start with the food. The continental menu lures you in with impressive (and... More

My wife and I had a meeting in Milford and so I found Jeffrey's on restaurant.com for a late lunch. The place was nearly empty but getting seated and a menu and drinks was a bit of a production. My wife ordered a vodka tonic, tall and it came out in a highball glass rather than just take care of... More

Jeffrey's has been my go-to restaurant for decades, but Claudio has made it an extension of being home. The food is excellent and inventive, the service attentive, and the ambience comfortable. Great for a celebration or any night for a healthy meal.

This has been one of my family's favorite for a really special dinner. But the last couple times it's just not what it was. The food was mediocre compared to what I expect. The service is still good. The room was cold. Just not the place it was, too expensive to not be wowed by the experience.

4 of us went for a business dinner. The food was excellent, done with a nice presentation. The bar was on the other side of the wall so business discussion was good. Dessert menu was good and the service was excellent. Our waitress had a sense of humor to match that of my New Jersey associate. :-) It was a... More

A friend took me to Jeffrey's for a mini-celebration - it was recommended to her by her wine guy. Unfortunately, it reminded me of an old fashioned supper club. The atmosphere was old school, the food worked too hard to be nouveau and impressive - e.g., just a few too many "extra" sauces or spices on any one dish. I... More
