We had our joint birthday dinner there and the food, atmosphere and service was excellent. This place has been really good for over 30 years!

I'll be the first to say, I had a very pleasant dining experience at Scribners this evening. The night started out interesting with the hostess being a little air headed but, once we were seated it was fine. I quickly was served bread and sparkling water and given menus. My mom and I decided to order stuffed clams, fried calamari,... More

Visited Scribner's for Milford's Restaurant week. Great selection of appetizers, entree and dessert for $23.75. Made reservations for 6:00 and we were seated right away. Staff was great..very attentive. My husband had the Lobster Fish Cakes for appetizer and salmon for dinner. He enjoyed both dishes. I had the salad wedges for appetizer and swordfish with gorganzola for dinner. Everything... More

We went there for the first time during Milford Restaurant Week! I had sweet potato crusted salmon and my husband had Cod. Both of our dinners were delicious. We would love to visit again!

The food was very good, the service left a little to be desired as I was dining alone and was not treated as good as the couples but the food was good.

Inexplicable is the only word I can use to describe the service. No busser. No food runner. A waiter who had no clue, no personality,no clue on the menu and no service. We should have known when one in our party ordered a wine spritzer and you would have thought we insulted him. Never mind he had no clue whether... More

I was attracted to this local restaurant because of it unusual menu. The calamari appetizer was excellent. They were thick pieces of calamari dipped in an excellent batter. The main courses were a disappointment. I tried the Seafood Alfredo. Alfredo sauce should be a creamy thick white sauce. Their version was a white soupy sauce that was not very tasty.... More

This place has been around for many years but it has not lost it's charm- good food and portions You can grab a bite and a drink in the bar area but it is very small and has the regular's customers conversing. The dining room is quaint and the service is great- very attentive to your needs. They have early... More

So many years, so many wasted opportunities! Our son graduated from Yale and over the years visiting, we've eaten at "the best" and most noted spots. To say we are particular and demanding in terms of food quality and service is to make a gross understatement. We "fell" across Scribner's because we had to come to the outskirts for accommodations... More

Went here for a birthday earlier this month. Called Saturday AM for that evening, party of 10 reservation, could accommodate, no problem. That was great! Got there, seated immediately. Ambiance was very 70s, but that's okay. Service was good, a little slow. They agreed to do separate checks, no problem. At end of night, they messed up checks a few... More
