Nice Lunch Buffet - wish the food was a little spicier

We went for lunch on a Saturday - and enjoyed a wide array of dishes - Tandoor Chicken, vegetable curries, chicken curries, nan, dal, and many other items. Probably hot items to choose from. Lots of good condiments and chai to help make the meal more enjoyable. I am told that if you order a... read more

The first impression of Haveli comes from a parking lot carved into the rock with just enough of a center lane to maybe get your car either against the biway side or the rockwall side. Once there you must hope no larger car parks too close to allow you to swing your vehicle out. Once the lot frightens you off... More

I can't say I'm the most experienced consumer of Indian food, but every dish I've ever had hear was simply wonderful. Hot as you like it, or not so much. Great flavors and freshness. Plus, the owners/waiters/everyone working there are just so nice, you can't help but smile. Prices are VERY reasonable for this quality of food.

I have tried 7-8 buffets near by rocky hills, tried this too.. and it did not disappoint me.. What I found is there were less Indians and more Americans 70%)… As Non-vegetarian, I liked starter (kabab and chicken chili) and mutton curry.. There was option in sweets too (kheer and gulab jamun ) unlike other restaurants… ambience was quite good..they... More

I went here for the first time and it was on one of the days they have a lunch buffet. The selection was very good. The food was average. I like everything I had but nothing really stood out.

Although set in a different sort of building one wouldn't expect to find Indian cuisine, the food can't be beat. Staff are attentive and friendly, happy to adjust spice level and individualize dishes. Fresh ingredients, not too many flavors at once, prices are reasonable and portion sizes are perfect to have enough to bring home for tomorrow's lunch. I've been... More

We usually go to Udipi Bhawan in Middletown, CT however it was closed yesterday and Haveli restaurant was the nearest one. The staff is nice and friendly. They Serve both Vegetarian and Non Vegetarian however yesterday we only tried vegetarian due to some personal reasons. We ordered Kadai Panner, Dal Tadka, Gobi Manchurian, Chana Masala and Malai Kofta. Food was... More

We were there for a group buffet dinner. Food was good, it was not very spicy and I assume that since they were catering to a mixed group they went light on the spicy/hot condiments because it did not have the traditional pungent taste I associate with Indian food. Service was excellent, friendly and unobtrusive. I would recommend this to... More

Sometimes you feel that a restaurant is just around the corner from being good. That applies to Haveli Indian. I know a lot of people love this place - which is what led me to it in the first place. I just was not enthralled with any of the offerings I sampled, nor did I like the ambiance. With so... More

We had lunch on 13th June after picking strawberries at the nearby Lyman Orchards. The restaurant has a nice setup and we were welcomed with a smile. Food: they had a good spread of veg and non veg items. Special mention items are pakoras, chicken tikka masala and kheer. Service: excellent Ambience: lovely. Drinks: I had a mango martini which...
