My family and I had brunch here on Sunday while I was in town for a wedding, andwe all agreed that the food was delicious and the service was fine also. We were seated in the back because there was about 30 of us, and the servers took our drink orders right away, and came to the table frequently to give us... More

This restaurant never disappoints. Our server was awesome, food was fresh and atmosphere also great. We will continue to go back. The take out is easy as well. The kids even had a magician!

I waited a week to add this, to see if time might temper my thoughts, but sadly, no. I've been to First and Last in Hartford and Avon and always liked it. But this wasn't the same. First, their famous focaccia was cold and stale. The wine was a tiny glass. And the entrees, well, nobody was too happy. The... More

Food poor; service OK...not worth it. Food cold and pizza average. Supposed to be a great time...nah. Go elsewhere.

Came for Easter Brunch. I know not to expect great things at a time like this but our experience was terrible. The food was not great by any means, the only thing worth eating was the breakfast pizza. Not only was the food bad but they were constantly running out of everything and what was there was not fresh! Every... More

I really don't understand First and Last, or my friends who like this place. Their food is lousy and their service is sub-par. Of course, my friends who like this place also frequent The Olive Garden and love Red Lobster, so that gives you some insight into their palate. The place is tired and old, and nothing is good here... More

We sat at the bar for drinks and appetizers. We ordered polenta, which was phenomenal, and the fried sweet peppers, which were bizarre. If we had just gotten the peppers, this review would be only 2 stars. The peppers were just sweet peppers cut into chunks and then fried in oil. That's it. For $8. It didn't taste like anything... We had a good time at First and Last Tavern. It was great service with just enough attention. We had pasta with seafood recommended by server. It was cooked perfect. The décor is nice and I really like the privacy of the booths. Parking was a problem the night we went. It was cold and snowy and we had to... More

For the great selection of restaurants in Middletown, this isn't my first selection but it isn't bad. Had good service and decent italian food. Wish I ordered the chicken cutlet my husband ordered and was tasty. My ravioli was good. Apparent it is homemade. Pizza is good too but again there are other places downtown I'd go for pizza or... Stopped here for a happy hour drink, ordered the lemon drop martini which was straight up lemon vodka, with a side of vodka. Maybe cool if you're trying to get absolutely bombed, as you could tell the regulars were who were at the bar all were. Food coming out looked far from appetizing and the bar was dirty.
