We have done take out here often since the location is near. The dosas and vadai are good but not the best i would say. Prices are fair but service is not that good. Poor attitude.

I typically do not write comments on these type of places. But after my experience of having such a bad attitude from the owner and very unprofessional service direct from the owner I felt like writing here.....food might be good but the service is terrible.

I'm sorry to say this, but I get a sense that the most who had posted reviews here did not really taste authentic Indian food, that too from the Udupi region of India. This is no where near the authentic side of the South Indian vegetarian food. If you would like to get a taste of it, I would suggest... More

I was once told you could tell a good Indian restaurant if when you visit it's full of Indians, this bit of advice has never failed me yet and it held true for Udupi Bhavan. Like most of the best Southern Indian restaurants, the food and price takes precedence over decor and service, and that's all good by me. Udupi... More

Located in a strip mall five miles or so outside of the unglamorous city of Middletown, this little eatery (not exactly a restaurant!) serves up consistently tasty and, to the extent of my knowledge, authentic Indian dhosas, vadas and pullaus that are simple and delicious. This is vegetarian Indian food made for an Indian audience that seemingly just keeps coming... More

My only complaint about this wonderful place is that it's a hike traveling down here but it's worth the trip when I crave for one of my all time favorite carb-based foods. There is something for everyone at this vegetarian restaurant. It's a packed house on the weekends (especially after Sunday (?) worship at the Hindu temple).

This place is best described as hit or miss. Sometimes the food is fresh and delicious, but other times, the food is sub-standard. Specifically, at times the sambar is very watery and tasteless. Also, takeout is always a problem, since it seems like they tend to pack the older/stale food when taking out. No comments on service since it's self... More

After worshiping in the Sathyanarayana Hindu Temple, we enjoyed the food at Udupi Bhavan. The food was fantastic. The crispy and spicy chilli pakoras and the dosa items were delicious. It is maintained well and the tradition is kept well. You can enjoy the food with the light music in the back ground.

Went here with an Indian work colleague as he is familiar with the chain and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Food was fantastic and high quality - just watch out for the chilli pakoras, they bite back.
