OK--it's not the same as eating Mexican food in the Southwestern U.S.--the ingredients and flavors are different, the chips and tortillas are not hand made. But the food is tasty and consistently good. The staff are efficient and pleasant, the prices are fair, the menu is large and the slightly kitschy decor seems to fit just right. If you go... More

Out of all of the Mexican restaurants I have been to in CT (and I live in Fairfield County) this one is the best. I drive from Danbury to go to this restaurant. Why do I like it so much? Well, (1) the food is not only well seasoned but you can get dishes like garlic shrimp and braised pork... More

As a matter of fact, have been there many times for both lunch and dinner and found the generous servings priced reasonably and tasting quite good. Unfortunately, on this most recent visit, they did not put their best foot forward. When served, I was told the plate was hot; that is the only thing hot! I left our booth, found... More

Not as much history as another long-time Mdtn Mexican restaurant, maybe not as trendy as the other, but it's consistently good. While technically on Main St, it's inside the square where the movie theater is. Wonderful staff, great portions, great selection. Get the guac' made tableside. It'll have you coming back.

I've eaten at this restaurant twice in the past few years when I have visited family in Connecticut. The carnitas were just okay. More seasoning was required. The queso was delicious and had chopped jalepeno peppers in it that gave a mild bite and the portion was generous. The staff is always smiling and attentive to the needs of the... More

We have been eating at Puerto Vallarta for the last few years. The food is authentic Mexican food, with many of the items on the menu imported from Mexico. The staff is absolutely wonderful, the manager, Margarito, quite often visiting tables to see how everyone is doing. Their Don Julio margaritas are out of this world. Portions usually feed my... Not much to say. But if your looking for authentic Mexican food don't go to any of the locations they have. Everything thing else is great just not the food. The refried beans taste like they come out of a can

My fiance and I went to Puerto Vallarta to celebrate Valentine's day this past Friday night. The restaurant was full, we gave our name to the hostess, ordered a drink and waited about 15 minutes for a table. Once we were seated they brought chips, salsa & water immediately. There was adequate time between our appetizer (a sampler dish) and... More

Hubby and I took the kids there last week and the food was really good! Great size portions and price. They make guac right in front you and its delish! Service was great as well. Will diff go back soon. My daughter wants to go back for her birthday so she can wear the sombrero and they can sing to... More
