I don't usually eat in Eli's but I have gotten takeout many times. The burgers are very flavorful, juicy, and the toppings were fresh and crisp (lettuce, tomato and onion). The rolls were very good as well. Fries were good too.

The food is good but the beer is better. Ask for the beer from Stubborn Beauty! Amazing! It's a fun place to dine.

Eli Cannons has a wonderful energy. It was our first time there. The wings were great. Our waiter, Colin, brought a sampler of beers to try. He was very friendly and helpful. It is a casual place but lots of fun. My scallop poor boy was delicious. My husband had a steak and cheese which was great. Great fries too!

Eli Cannon's is good but not great. It's at the northern end of Main Street in Middletown, CT close to the Portland Bridge, on the west side of the street. The decor is cool, and somewhat reminiscent of the SoCal surf bars I frequented 20+ years ago when I lived in Carlsbad, CA. The food is decent but not great,... More

We went on a busy Friday night and had an hour wait to sit, which was to be expected. However, the bar service was quick while we waited so that was a bonus. Popcorn machine cool. Food came out quick and hot and was super tasty. Blue cheese for the wings was out of this world. Beer pricey but an... More

Never in my entire 23 years of existence (okay, it's not a lot) have I ever had a worse experience at a bar boasting such an impressive beer menu. I and my boyfriend have just been there an honestly I couldn't wait to get home to warn others about the place. Typical Friday night, so Eli's was busy. We were... More

I hate to rate this place terrible but, we waited for over 2 hours for a table on Saturday night and the staff barely acknowledges your existence while there. This place has some of the worst service we've experienced in CT. Part of the problem was created when they seated a party of 15 that came in well after us.... More

This is a great place for different kinds of beers. Always find a new brew to enjoy. The food is standard, but that's not why I go. My friends and I enjoy coming out here for a fun night out.

Been to Eli's many, many, many times. They do have the best beer selection in the state, but you have to be a beverage snob to appreciate it. Having more, lighter styles like Pils and lagers would round it out more, but that's not what the purists like. Regarding food, you have to calibrate your expectations to that of a... More

This is a fun spot to go grab a beer and perhaps a bite to eat if you are feeling risky. I will put it out there that I have had a decent dish, which was mushroom ravioli, but for the most part, the food has been below expectations: especially with such a fine craft beer selection. Overall, if you... More
