Great beer. Average food.

Great for beer. Food is always average. If you like greasy pub food you'll like it, if not, then it's just not for you.

Eli's has been a favorite of beer "snobs" for many years ... their ever-changing list is long and mind-boggling. You'd better know what you want when the bartender asks, or you might get yourself an eye-roll. The wait for a table is normally pretty long, but not as bad in nice weather when the outdoor area is open. On my... More

My husband and I went on the spur of the moment. It was a beautiful day and we took all back roads. Never having been there before we were in awe of the entire place. We asked to be seated outside..what a delight. Everyone was pleasant, food and beer good. Definitely a do again.

We stopped in here with some business associates for drinks. The bartender was not very friendly or accommodating. We were asking about the different beers available and all he kept saying is look at the list. Definitely will not return.

I was sitting at the bar listening to the bartender and a server badmouth a customer who had just left. I told them I didn't care for their behavior and they proceeded to try to explain to me why they were doing it. I don't care what happened for them to feel the way they did. It's unprofessional to do... More

Loved the feel of the pub. Small and quaint. It was when I went outside that I was blown away. It was as if I was in another town. Really great job out back. I had a burger and it was great. Honestly we were having so much fun it didn't matter what I was eating. I can see this... More

Eli's is somewhat famous around Connecticut for being a good place to get interesting beers, and its true that their selection is great. The food is pretty good too. However, all of this is ruined by their trust awful service. If it's busy, you can expect your order to take over an hour, and the servers hardly pay any attention... More

I was trying to plan a chill, laid back birthday lunch for my sister and was appalled by the lack of professionalism on the other end of the phone line. I called before they were open, as I know it can be a pretty busy place, and I just wanted a few seconds to ask them a couple of questions.... More

Stopped by Eli Cannon's last week for the first time in many years. I love great beer, and the selection there did not disappoint. There are over 30 taps with a wide selections or craft beers. If you like Coors Light, go somewhere else. I ordered up some wings while at the bar and they were excellent. The Hot Buffalo... More

This is the only place in Connecticut where you will find 3 or more 100% rated Beer Advocate beers on tap in the same night. Eli's has an overwhelmingly amazing beer rotation where you'll have to pick and choose unless you have an Andre the Giant alcohol tolerance. The food is pretty awesome too, but it's survival of the fittest... More
