Go to restaurant for a killer margarita

If you want a laid back restaurant to gossip with the girls while have an awesome margarita, Coyote Blue is the place! I've been here many times over the last decade and will return for years to come.

Portions are huge and the food is Tex mex with a twist- never had a bad meal. If you're not into rice and beans, I've asked for veggies instead and they were terrific. Be prepared for a long wait on a Friday night- the place was packed.

The burritos are huge and filled with fresh mets and topped with delicious melted cheese. Southwestern stir fry was excellent- huge portions. Salsa is nice but I've had better. Will definitely return.

Thank you for your comments. We tend to make our fresh salsa middle of the road to please most of our guests. Also available are 10 of our house hot sauces and dehydrated jalapenos that you are welcome to add to make the salsa to your exact taste. More

The decor in this restaurant is awesome. The people are all nice and the drinks are sooo goood!!! I love the homemade salsa too. The entree's are good, but nothing out of the ordinary. It's your standard mexican food and it's good but this place is known for the margarita's that are so good there is a two drink maximum!!!!!

Drew does an outstanding Oktoberfest at Coyote Blue, far better than the food at another semi-German restaurant in the area. He aught to! He has the heritage and the experience from his former restaurant, the Glockenspiel in Higganum, that has since closed.

Thank you so much for your comments. The staff here at Coyote Blue are the ones who make it happen. They work very hard in preparing and serving the Bavarian dishes we offer every year. More

One the bright side the margaritas are still great. This has been our favorite place for 20 years. The past year the friendly waiting staff and the scrumptious food has disappeared. The salsa recipe has changed as it now has a sour bitter taste and after we mentioned it to our waitress the next bowl wasn't any better. It's too... More

We have had most of our service staff with us for more than ten years and can't explain why you didn't recognize them. We started pickling our own fresh jalapenos about a year ago and started using them in our salsa for a short time but the feedback we received was not positive so we have since gone back to... More

Today's menu for lunch at Coyote Blue served offerings appropriate to Oktoberfest (German appetizers, entrees, and drinks: Wienerschnitzel, Kasespatzel, Liebfraumilch). The three people in our lunch party arrived at 3pm and were seated up arrival of the third person. Note: You will have to wait to be seated if your dining companions are late. Drinks we ordered included two sangrias... More

We are happy that you enjoyed the time you spent with us. We agree that Coyote Blue can be quite noisy at times but it is filled with happy people with friends, enjoying great food & drinks. You really should try some of our German dishes; we had a lot of practice at the Glockenspiel from 1975 to 1997. More

I'll keep this short. If you don't give Coyote Blue a try, you will be missing out on the best tex mex in this area. The building itself is small. Dining area has booth style seating and there is a bar side where you can also eat. Although I didn't try the Margaritas I was told they are really good.... More

We have heard about Cayote Blue Café for years but have never been there until today. The restaurant was busy but we were seated right away. The Margaritas are as good as they say they are. There was a mix up with our order and we had an extended wait-the waitress communicate well, explained the problem and offered us drinks... More
