I went to Coyote Blue on a whim. The wait is long but worth it. In the bar area you can sit at a table and have a margarita and chips and salsa, but you can not order dinner. I found this a bit strange. I guess if it works don't change it. The menu states that two margaritas are... More

Went for lunch today as we have been to Coyote Blue in the past. Was not impressed with the service, the waitress walked by our table numerous times while our drink glasses were empty. Food was not impressive, very little flavor this time. Not planning on returning in the near future.

It's not really Tex-Mex--come on, this is central Connecticut after all. The margaritas are okay, but they are definitely strong. Service was wonderful. Chips and salsa are boring. A spinach and feta quesadilla was pretty tasty but needed hot sauce. A mushroom and onion enchillada was mediocre. Pumpkin flan was very good. Haven't been here in more than a decade... More

Was disappointed to find no reservations initially and to arrive at 8pm and to be told 45 mins for a table for 6. The 45 mins turned into near 90 mins. First seated in bar because table was not available. Hostess/waitress very friendly and drinks were awesome. The drink menu also should be updated to include all their options as... More

Been to quite a few Mexican restaurants lately, and unfortunately this one does not rank among my favorites. It took us over half an hour to get seated- and with so many customers there, did expect something out of the ordinary. Our group ordered a variety of choices including the happy trails combo, burrito grande, beef tostada, chicken quesa and... More

Party of 6, 4 adults, 2 children. Told 20 min. wait - It is a long time for children. We waited 1 hour while asking every 20 min's and be told only a few more min's. After being seating and ordering, it took 45 min's for food to be served. Food was ample portions. After eating and the table cleared,... More

The drink menu warns that two margarita's are enough for most adults. I'm an adult, I know I can drink more than two margarita's and not even feel it. Wrong. They do not skimp on the alcohol, and it's worth it to upgrade to the 1800 tequila. Drinks went down smooth, and let's just say I'm glad I had a... More

While the place is not huge, it is well worth going to. They have by far the best margaritas in the area. I recommend the upgrade from the house margarita to the 1800, you will not be disappointed! They come out in Ball jar glasses and are quite potent, there is a reason they limit you to only two. I... More

Revisited Blue Coyote this week after a long hiatus. Food was excellent and portions quite generous. I had the Burrito Grande a combination of chunked beef, chicken and button mushrooms with rice and refried beans. Very tasty with the beef being a bit dry but still quite good. My wife has the chicken tostada which was absolutely huge!!! She totally... More
