Nice local restaurant. Whole fried clams done just right. Light batter, tender clams, ample serving, reasonable price. Service was prompt and friendly. Salad bar had only iceberg lettuce but the rest was quite good. Stuffed grape leaves and feta cheese on the salad bar a plus.

The salads we ordered were excellent but huge. We could have split one or ordered two small salads. We thought the small salads would be side salads and the large would be entrees. Staff was very helpful.

The baked stuffed shrimp is to die for. The restaurant is very dated and needs an update but the food is great. Staff is sometimes slow as its an older bunch of waitresses. Small salad bar is a great touch that most restaurants have gotten rid of. Never had the pizza but I hear its very good.

My husband and I tried Zorba's at the recommendation of our hotel concierge. It was close to our hotel and in a much nicer part of Meriden than some other restaurants across the highway. The interior of the restaurant is a bit dated and dark, but somewhat Greek in style. I could see an Italian mafioso sitting in a corner... More

Moved here from NY about a year ago. My family is in the restaurant business. I know food & food cost. We are lucky to have a place like Zorba's in Meriden. So much better then a diner....because the menu isn't trying to cater to everybody. Specials are the way to go...especially earlier in the week, I'm pretty sure they're... More

My neighbors and I frequent this restaurant on a regular basis. Zorbas offeres a complete dinner special for a reasonalbe price that not only rotates on a regular basis but has creativity, fresh vegetables, and no boring qualities. The meal starts off with a choice of soup or salad. For a few dollars extra you can have both. Something I sometimes... More

We eat here in a fairly regular basis. They used to have wonderful homemade rolls and home made croutons on the salad bar. They also used to give you way too much food which you would bring name and have another full meal. Now the bread is really subpar. The croutons are still homemade but now from the lousy bread.... I noticed some people felt the prices were too high for this restaurant. I didn't find that to be a problem. My husband and I had two very nice dinner meals with non-alcoholic drinks soup/salad for $42. I had the clam chowder and the fried seafood combo. I took. A picture of the combo and it still didn't fit within... More

Zorba's is a terrific place for dinner midweek when you just do not want to cook. The salad bar is fine and the menu is an interesting mixture of Italian and Greek dishes. The food portions are large and the food is harty. I do not care for their pizza which is quite bready, but every thing else I have... More

I love the ambience, even if modest; the service is friendly and the salad bar is great, although limited. I think the prices are quite high for the quality of the food, The biggest disappointment: the red sauce. I find it hard to believe, being of Italian heritage, that this place is so popular considering that they produce what I... More
