I was here for a 70th birthday party where we had rented out the backroom. It was very comfortable and the servers and staff were very helpful and attentive. We had a variety of appetizers but the big hit was the calamari which was fantastic. We had a choice between 4 different entrees and they all looked great. I had... More

Wanting to recreate a Sunday afternoon, three-hours-at-table, type of experience we used to have dining in northern Italy, I thought Silvio's wonderful kitchen was the right place to go. Our usual seasonal golfing couples foursome braved the predictions of a snowy Sunday recently, and we're so glad we made the trip. The experience was perfetto! Our lively conversation quelled when... I've really tried to like it. I've been several times. As described in their menu 'perfectly seasoned' escarole e bean soup. It was a cold day and I really wish it was perfectly seasoned. My Tilapia was way over cooked. I spoke with the waitress about it. She walked it back to the kitchen. Then about 15 minutes later she... More

My wife & I try to visit Cafe Allegre at least once every other month. Typically there is a wait but having a glass of wine at the bar with their wonderful bartenders who have been a fixture there for years now is always a highlight. My typical order consists of the eggplant rollatini and rigatoni bolognese. Both were cooked... More

Allegre had catered my son's wedding and I was suitably impressed. So we thought we'd give the restaurant a try for dinner, as well. We were not disappointed. We arrived around 6 pm on a weeknight and were seated immediately. Amanda was our server, and she did a fab job of reciting (in scrumptious detail) every special offered that evening.... More

We were a group of seven, had a wonderful server by the name of John. He described all the specials , recommended wine, had total patience while we asked many questions. After deciding on 4 appetizers to share, placed our dinner orders with one special request. Food was brought out at appropriate times, and the meals were all delicious not... More

A favorite restaurant in a beautiful, downtown, shoreline town. This restaurant is a perfect spot to enjoy a dinner midweek or to have a lovely romantic night. There is also a back sunroom where you can host special occasions. The food is always delicious with specials offered to keep the menu fresh. Take a stroll down the Main Street in... More

Great place for special occasions and to take out-of-town guests. The food is always good and reasonably priced for the the romantic setting. Service is prompt and professional. Food is always hot and well presented. My husband thinks Chef Silvio's Chicken Parmesan is the best, I'm partial to the veal dishes. There are always wonderful special appetizers and entrees as...
