A Madison Must

No trip to Madison is complete without a stop at Lenny and Joe's. Fried or broiled, the fish options are plentiful. The lobster rolls are outstanding! The menu also includes salads, steamed veggies, homemade chips, and soups. There is a small carousel and an ice cream stand on the premises, so this... read more

Went here because of the 4 star trip advisor rating. Ugh. What a shabby disappointment. It's a disorganized chaotic mess run by a teenage staff. The lobster and steamers were ok, but the fried food was not good, fries not good, and the very expensive "sautées" were just plain inedible- shrimp scampi, scallops, etc. rubbery, tasteless, oily. The brown rice... More

We were waiting all year to come back. Such a HUGE disappointment! The Lobster Roll was NOT the same! Greasy artificial buttered oil it seemed soaked in. The greasy onion rings were little pieces fried and served cold hot dogs. One wouldn't mind spending the price they charge if the good was good ! What Happened??? It is so NOT... More

This is a casual spot for lunch or dinner. Delicious sea fare at great prices. We enjoyed the lobster rolls and homemade chips. We will look to return again when we are near the locations.

We've been coming here for years and love it. Food is always solid and the service is quick. Fried shrimp. Let me say it again...Fried shrimp. They have plenty of other stuff - from chowder to cod but....Fried Shrimp is a summer tradition. The people who run this place really know what they are doing. And then there are the... More

So happy to find this place! we had the bisque and the lobster roll - very fresh and well seasoned 'this is a local gem , unpretentious and lots of choices in terms of fried and broiled fish !

The food is just okay and the noise level is horrendous. If your idea of a great restaurant experience is putting up with hordes of shouting children that tourists with thick NY accents bring to this place then go for it- otherwise try one of the other many seafood places along the coast that offer better food in a more... Went there for Mother's Day weekend 2015 and ordered the hot Lobster Roll. It was not sauteed in butter but in some kind of oil product. It made the roll totally soggy and I couldn't even eat half of it. It was a lot of money for a terrible lunch. Get something else.

Great place. They have fried and grilled options. Loved the grilled salmon. Also love the ice cream and merry go round. It's enjoyable to sit outside at the picnic tables as well. I have seen people bring table cloths and set it up nicely.

A fish restaurant is tough with my family when 2 members don't eat fish - but Fish Tales was a success. Several of us had the chowder or bisque and these were both awesome - maybe even the best part of the meal. Everybody enjoyed their meal - from seafood, to salad to a plain old burger. Service was great... More
