Good fish from a Family Affair

We had a friend with us who insisted on taking us to Fish Tales. She insisted. She told us it is a local shop, with local fishermen supplying the fish, and employing only those from the local area. We were sold, we especially like supporting local enterprise. You select from the menu above the... read more

Don't miss the fried shrimp. I don't know how Lenny and Joe manage to get so much flavor out of them. Lobster is steamed and sold in a separate room, reasonably price and tasty. The scrod is very good. The chowder is generously filled with clams. If you like these kinds of foods, you will love eating here.p

In my opinion we have a crisis for good, straightforward seafood in Southwest CT, so it's not uncommon for us to take a hike to the eastern side of the state to satisfy our fish jones. Lenny & Joe's never disappoints. Fried clams, lobster rolls, scallops, fish sandwiches, etc. All good. No danger of here of "so called" seafood that's... More

Great stop on the way to the beach. Rich buttery lobster rolls and fat french fries. Out back is a gorgeous carousel & ice cream shack with plenty of picnic tables to enjoy your meal outdoors.

This was our first time here, and I didn't know it was a counter service restaurant, so that was a bit of a surprise when we walked in the door. We decided on a fried clam strip roll, fish sandwich, and lobster bisque. It was busy, so it was close to a 10 minute wait for our order to be... More

This is a counter service restaurant, be prepared to wait in line to order and listen for your number to be called. High volume with moderate quality you will be satisfied if your expectations are not too high. Merry go round is fun for the kids.

This is a great spot to get seafood...the simple kind like fried clams, lobster, fish. It's not fancy but the food is good and consistent.

Great food. Fast service. Wonderful atmosphere which includes the sale of ice cream treats and a carousel for the kids. Dine indoors or outside. I recommend the seafood platter. Enough for two and delicious.
